ONeill Wetsuits Child Reactor USCG Life Vest

This seems to be a well-made life vest. I have a tall and lean 8yo that hates getting her face wet, which means we’ve been putting off swimming lessons for our own sanity. Now, faced with a beach vacation, I wanted something that would be comfortable and that I could trust to keep her safe in the ocean (under supervision, of course). This is highly durable neoprene material—a $20 lifejacket from Target or Walmart, this is not. I like the addition of the handle on the top and the strap between the legs. I wish that there was a neoprene sleeve on that strap as I imagine that may rub the skin and make it sore. I might order something that will work on my own. I got it on sale for roughly $60 and that seems like an absolute steal. I will update after it’s been worn consistently.

It fits my daughter very well, is well constructed and seems very durable. The only downside is that it seems to absorb water, and gets heavy.

I bought this for my 2 year old grandson. He is 30lbs. This vest fits him perfectly. It is very comfortable material and he didnt mind having it on at all. Recommend for boating or swimming pool.

I need help returning this item because it was too small for my child and therefor unsafe. We live overseas and the company is inflexible with the return. Very disappointing. Will never use the company again and will advise others who are posted overseas to avoid.

Excellent! Bought for my son to use at pool party, and for the summer while learning to swim. This little vest allowed him to go in the water with friends and not fear being over his head. Being able to relax and watch him have fun playing was priceless. Slim design, it didnt get in his way, and he loved the way it looked, so he was not self conscious about wearing it.

Love this vest. Fits my 4 year old perfectly. He’s 46lbs

This is a horrible product. I bought it a month ago and my 2yo son has used it 3 times. I use the term used lightly as it has been used in the water once when he jumped in to cool off. The other two times he wore it on a boat. The right side is separating at the shoulder- the entire length of the connection is literally hanging by a thread. On closer inspection, the handle behind the head - what you would grab to save the child if he fell in is also separating... Zero stars.

Soft material! My 3 1/2 year old likes it and actually wants to wear her “big girl” life vest!
