> 3 dayI didnt know the brand so I didnt have big expectations, but this device works perfectly. I was able to add it to HomeKit within 5 minutes from unboxing. Pleasantly surprised also that I can separately operate the two outlets.

09-06-2025Its a good HomeKit item. Easy to set up (use the Home app and not the Meross/Refoss app) and you get two independently-addressable outlets for HomeKit. Its great for helping to dial in outdoor lighting scenes, for instance, esp since its made to stand up to an outdoor environment (within reason, of course...I dont think it would handle a flood very well.....). I especially like the power button on the unit. Its a good value add. Only real nit is something that I think is endemic among Meross/Refoss products, in that it sometimes loses wifi connection or something. Im still not sure if its my system having too much stuff on it or what, so Im not dinging the product (it could be a user error thing) but its chronic enough for the other Meross products I have that I should mention it. This is, definitely, a good way to get more home automation options at a very reasonable price. I like this a lot.

> 3 dayIve a series of landscape lights whose controller Ive never bothered to figure out, by turning them to on and plugging the controller into this HomeKit plug, Im able to get them to work via simple automation from my phone or turn them on via Siri. Hey Siri turn on on the landscape lights. And when Christmas time rolls around I can plug the Christmas lights into the other power receptacle. Paired quickly via my phone and assigned it to an automation to turn on the 1st receptacle at sunset and turn off a couple hours later. Antenna is pretty good as it is located maybe 30 feet from the nearest HomeKit Hub, the AppleTV in the master bedroom, and seems to work reliably (time will tell).

> 3 dayAnything that requires me to change my WiFi signal from 5ghz to 2.4ghz and disconnect my mesh system just to set up I consider a pain in the butt. I did all this and it still didn’t want to connect. All the other smart devices in my home connect with no problem. I have plenty of bandwidth and a 1 gig signal. Go with Lutron or something else. The set up is terrible

> 3 dayWe use this outside to connect all the lights, it was nice to only have to push the button to turn off but disappointed that it wouldn’t connect to our iPhones so we wouldn’t have to go outside to turn off lights

> 3 dayIf you have many Apple products like I do and are using HomeKit, this outdoor smart plug is a great product and I highly recommend it. It was very easy to set up. Each outlet can be addressed individually. I am currently using one of the outlets to turn on a bug light at night and turn it off during the day. Im using the other outlet to control some decorative lights that I have on the back porch. But during the holidays this plug would be a great way to control your outdoor Christmas lights. Its nice to see that more companies are beginning to support HomeKit. I hope someday that all of my lights and switches can be controlled this way.
