16-04-2025I’ve been using this for my Christmas lights, and the user experience has been very pleasant. Easy instillation, and the HomeKit integration was seemless.

> 3 dayI like the way it’s for outdoors and it’s easier to link it with My Home Apple’s app but I got tired trying to link it to Alexa. In my case I had to change my wifi password and that messed it up

> 3 dayAnything that requires me to change my WiFi signal from 5ghz to 2.4ghz and disconnect my mesh system just to set up I consider a pain in the butt. I did all this and it still didn’t want to connect. All the other smart devices in my home connect with no problem. I have plenty of bandwidth and a 1 gig signal. Go with Lutron or something else. The set up is terrible

> 3 dayUsed this via my Home app on my IOS devices via Homekit. Couldnt be easier. Plugged it in, opened the Home app, hit add device, used the camera to scan the code on the device, took about 5-7 seconds to connect/add. Can control both outlets, can set it up on a schedule if I want, hasnt lost connection yet. Build quality seems fine, like that the outlets have covers (that are well connected instead of flimsy, thin connections). Very pleased

> 3 dayWorks perfectly, even though the company name is different, it’s Meross. Ordered two. One connected perfectly right away. The other one shipped with a bad HomeKit QR code/wrong 8 digit code (actually had 10 digits and letters….) while this was frustrating, I’m rating at 5 stars due to the customer service. They were able to get me a proper QR code after reaching out to them. Each individual outlet can be controlled which is great as well. Using to lower Christmas lights on house/in yard.

> 3 dayBe aware that if your home wifi is 5.0 GHz, you may struggle to get this thing set up. We had to setup a separate 2.5 GHz network just for our smart plugs, which wasnt difficult for someone with a bit of know-how, but may be a barrier to some customers. Works perfectly once set up though! Homekit integration is great.

> 3 dayThis thing, just like three outlet version which I returned, is garbage. I love Meross indoor smart plugs (especially because they work both with HomeKit and Alexa) but these outdoor plugs are terrible. I ordered this one as a replacement for the Meross 3 plug version, because the advertisement did not indicate it was made by Meross. It worked for 3 days and then, when I was out of town and really needed it to control outdoor lights, it lost its connection even though it is 30 feet from a very powerful Asus mesh node. Do not buy! Next year I will try the KASA.

> 3 dayYou HAVE to set this up on 2.4G wifi, if you phone is connected to 5 it will not work. I could not get it to work with Alexa, it does work well with Apple Homekit. You can even have the two outlets separate. It is only IP44, which is actually not that waterproof. I would not put these where it will get splashed.
