> 3 dayDead on Arrival. Nothing lit up, nothing reset, have no idea if a functional one is worth of the money. I will give them a chance to replace, and will update my review accordingly. **** Update**** Replacement unit received, configured and working within 30 seconds. Currently, I am trying control it from 100 feet from the hub, and it is a bit much, but I can not fault the unit. I will have some additional zwave controlled items between them and I hope they will be able to relay.

23-11-2024Im on my second one of these Eva Logic 2 Channel Z-Wave Smart Plug...and unfortunately these are the dummest smart plugs out there. Neither of the two that I purchased can be added to my SmartThings hub. When trying to add them...either via their product name (which is an available option), or scanning nearby, they are not found by the SmartThings app. Ive tried it a million times...tried the factory reset (press the power button twice, then hold), rebooted the hub, rebooted my phone...no dice no matter what I try. I contacted Eva Logik support, and although they responded very quickly (which was great), their first reply was sending me a link to the video on how to pair the device (which was no no help, of course, since I had already tried every option available. They offered to replace the device, but figuring they wouldnt be as quick as Amazon, I just did a replacement order. As noted earlier, the replacement acted the same way as the original one...its basically a brick. Now its on to try to find a similar device from an alternate manufacturer...that will actually work. I would suggest that you dont waste your time on trying this...Im a week and a half in, and back to square one. Note: I have an extensive SmartHome device collection, running a large number of items in my house, so suffice to say, it isnt operator error.

> 3 dayWorks well and reacts quickly to commands. Beware, if you are using an alarm system as your zwave controller— alarm-dot-com which is the backend for many alarm system companies, does not recognize multi node devices. On my 2gig this shows up as three different switches. The first two always act together and control the same outlet. The third switch controls the second outlet. The app only shows one switch, can’t control the second remotely. Product is good quality.

> 3 dayHad it a few months, 95 degrees F and in direct sun and all still works fine. Water resistance seems adequate (mine hangs vertically), angled plug was helpful for my install (top hinged outdoor cover).

Greater than one weekTesting of this device shows it to only have a poor rating regarding signal While it worked in an outside application it was marginal. Even putting the device inside the house did not improve things. I have had other brands of waterproof devices and they all had poor signal reception. All other devices in the house, not rated for outdoors, have had good to excellent signal characteristics.

> 3 dayThe box and Amazon page shows a 90 degree plug. (front side of the box has a sticker over the plug end, but back shows 90 degree.) Unfortunately, even with a 90 degree plug, it would still have too short of a cord. All of the outdoor z-wave plugs like this on Amazon have short cords. I just dont get it. It barely makes it to the wall next to the outlet and the plug would have to be so low to the ground that the rain will just bounce back up onto it. Need a cord at least double this length. I could use the mechanical timer that I was using to daisy-chain them, but I think that I will return and purchase a wired outlet to replace the one inside the covered receptacle. I did not try the z-wave connection (I didnt want to waste my time setting up something that I wasnt going to keep.) I gave 2 stars because may work for some applications, but again you barely have enough cord to get to the wall.
