Greater than one weekIf you want outlet covers that are nearly impossible for anyone, adult or child, to remove then these are for you. If you’re looking at these because they have a “convenient flip tab” to make removal easy for adults, keep looking. I have broken 3 nails trying to get the flip tabs to slide and flip.

> 3 dayThese are the best baby outlet covers Ive used. They have a bottom part that you have to slide down, then pull out. Sliding it down is quite difficult - I can barely do it, so I doubt a baby/toddler would be able to (although some of those little buggers can do things adults cant, for sure!) What I really like about these, over the other ones Ive used, is that you can leave the bottom part open (down), thus making it easier for ME to open while still covering the outlet. So it takes away the curiosity of the child to stick their fingers in the outlet, but I can remove it without breaking my (sadly brittle and/or nonexistent) nails. This gives me the very convenient option of making the outlets I never use completely impossible to access, while leaving the ones I often use covered but possible to open. For this reason, these are now my absolute favorite outlet covers ever. The quality is good and they seem durable as well. They also arrived more quickly than I had expected, which was nice.

> 3 dayLove these so much more than traditional outlet covers. They are a little hard to get the little tab to pull down so you can actually pull the cover off of the outlet to be used. But we have just stopped pushing the little lever back in all the way so we can just grab it easier! Even with that, its still less of a pain in the butt than regular ones!

Greater than one weekOur baby tries, but he cant remove them. Usually Ive had a time getting them out the first time after putting them in, but no issue in the subsequent removals. You have to slide the bottom half down with your nail and then pull the lever and slide the cover out of the socket...sometimes I need to use something besides my nail to get it the first time, but then its loosened enough to easily slide down and out the next time. I recommend these outlet covers for sure.

> 3 dayThey work well and you get a lot for the money. Sometimes they’ll feel a little loose when “locking” them in (but not enough for littles to be able to manipulate out)....but again, because there’s so many, I just change them out. Easy peasy

> 3 dayIt is hard for the little ones to remove- but the little tab is hard for the big ones to remove also. Would not recommend

> 3 dayIt is a little hard to get these out of the socket but I like that these have a mini handle to help pull them out easier. So these may be adult proof but that’s fine because that means my baby definitely can’t get them out.

> 3 dayReally like these. Plus you get so many for a good price. But theyre a pain to get out if you have long/fake nails hahaha. But my babe doesnt fuss with the socket now which is awesome!

Greater than one weekI live in a crappy rental house with a clueless landlord. A mouse died in the wall because he put poison bait stations outside without ensuring the mice cant get in the house after they eat the poison! Months later it still smells like a dead body. I used these outlet covers to keep the smell in the walls. Did not work. Then I noticed a foul feces/urine smell, a sure sign of a nest, in an outlet next to my stove. These didnt stop the smell despite the fit being tight and secure. I dont have kids but I feel more relaxed that my cat wont accidentally electrocute himself with the outlet by his scratching post. I havent tried to remove them so I cant comment on that, but my lease is up in a few months so I shall find out soon. Im counting the days! Dont move to Portland, OR. High rent, substandard living conditions, amateur landlords with no knowledge of the law, and tenant lawyers who will tell you its illegal but difficult to prove, so no worth their time. Portland sucks! But these outlet covers are pretty good.
