I am doing a painting of a critically endangered or extinct animal every single day(for a year...Ive done 128 as of this review) so this is getting lots of use. Pros: The reservoir is large enough that I dont have to change the water constantly. My brushes are more easily than what I was using (a small jar and then a metal travel water holder). It is sturdy and doesnt feel as if it will tip if accidentally bumped. There are several nice sized brush holders that hold all the brushes I most typically use. Cons: The lid just sits there, you cannot use this when you travel and if you did knock it off of whatever you had it on, the water would go everywhere...and it holds quite a lot. The holes for the brushes are rigid, so if you use large brushes mostly, this wont work. Thankfully because Im doing daily paintings I keep them small and need small brushes. It is a bit annoying to have to take out all the brushes every time I want to clean the water though too. Ideally they would change the design to something with a watertight lid that allows for travel. There could be separate flexible brush holders you attach to the sides so that you just take the whole group of brushes off when you need to change the water.

It is well made and will serve my needs well. NO cons. Fast shipping was a plus too.

I am physically disabled and learning to oil paint with oil mixable Windsor and Newton paints. I needed something sturdy enough that I would not push it around while scrubbing the paint from my brush and so far it has done the job. I like having the two containers for dirty water and slightly cleaner water. It has helped me greatly with my painting. I was having problems with mixing new colors or contaminating other colors because I was unable to get enough of the paint out with wiping it on a rag or paper towel. Now Im able to gently scrub the paint brush against the bottom, use the divider to help remove some water from the brush, and finally wipe it off with a paper towel or soft towel. The only con I have may not be a con for others. I have three different brands of brushes and each one slides through the holes all the way to the bristles. This makes it more difficult for me to pick up the brush again. I have no finger movement in either hand, as I am paralyzed from my chest down. I dont know if it is waterproof, if I were accidentally to tip it over. Hopefully, I will never have to accidentally discover that it is. LOL I think anyone using water-soluble paints would be perfectly happy with it. Im not sure I would use it with solvents other than water. It may work perfectly fine but that is not a need that I have to worry about.

Made cleaning brushes much easier & less of a chance of having left over paint that can damage the bristles

It is exactly what my students needed to help manage cleaning paint brushes during art.

It holds your paint brushes and I love that you can rest the brushes in a separate place
