Really fun game enjoyed by all! Strategy is key just as much as working as a team. We have played through multiple levels of difficulty as well as with and with out expansions. We have also played with different numbers of players. My only complaint was how it was shipped. It was around Christmas and apparently fulfilled by Wal-mart. There was nothing in my box or tracking info that stated it was an amazon order. Since I had this on my Christmas list, I was worried someone had sent it to me. I had to call Wal-mart who was not helpful at all and was finally able to compare tracking from the box to amazon to figure out it was my order.

It’s honestly on my top 3 favorite board games!

The game is a treasure in the world of board games and is a must-have. Just beaware that this game is a little difficult for someone under 10, and will require a lot of hand holding and explanation due to its difficulty level. Also, the local retail shows likely have better deals than this one.

Very fun game for cooperative, deep thinking players - you do not play against each other, everyone plays against the game. Takes 45mins-2hours depending on how analytical and conversational the players are between and during turns, number of players and game mode. Winning the most difficult game mode is extremely satisfying! Winning the easiest mode is a comfortable challenge - we have had 50% success rate in this mode. 8-12 yr olds can play this game but enjoyment will vary.

This latest edition is great. Cooperative games are great for keeping folks united for a common goal. Its hard to beat the game. As for preventing someone from becoming a domineering leader, we implemented a communication troubles rule where the sat phones go down due to a variety of possible reasons determined at random and triggered by game conditions.

Es un juego divertido en el cual todo puede pasar, muy aplicado a la situacion actual, ya que se intentan controlar virus. Como juego cooperative es interesante ver como solucionar con pas habilidades de cada uno

What if Marburg, Ebola, or any other multitude of horrible diseases because extremely virulent? Thousands of people are dieing, and it is spreading all over the world. This brings us to the universe of Pandemic. In Pandemic, you and three other people play as a CDC (and most likely USAMRID) taskforce whos main goal is to cure all the diseases before time runs out. Each person receives a random role, such as Medic, or Dispatcher, and gets a special ability. These abilities greatly increase the worlds chances of survival. The game has a great and easy system of rules. The disease model is also very well done, and realistically done. This game is very dependent on everyone working with each other, and with decent amounts of communication. As an avid hobby gamer, I sometimes find it hard to find people to play with, but this game appeals to lots of people. Its a great family game night game, and it is large amounts of fun.

I just received this the other day. I want to say I am impressed with the quality. Starting with the box itself, I am very impressed. Ive never got a board game before that was such heavyweight chipboard box. Then the photo paper covering the box is very detailed, and rich full of color. Lovely texture and coating on the box. Super impressed. The board quality itself is really nice, looks, great! I like the clear plastic disease cubes, they are pretty crystal clear and to me its more exciting and not as monotonous as the wooden ones that came with the first edition. I wouldnt of minded wooden pawns but I am not complaining.. they are fairly heavy plastic and polished a bit -- same with the research center tokens. Card quality is very nice. Air cushioned and seems like theyd hold up. Ive already sleeved the player deck. I might not sleeve the infection deck. If it ever becomes a problem (I can always sleeve them later).

this is a great game, but I havent gotten into the right rhythm yet even after playing 10 or so games. I know its not in the same classification of board game, but I recently got Karuba and have gotten WAY more enjoyment out of that one. the coop element is cool; its unique to a lot of people and that makes it fun. the games difficulty can be discouraging but it is not unwinnable. if you are on a losing streak, try a team with Medic, Dispacher, and Researcher. all of the parts and pieces are very nice quality. I do suggest to keep the manual handy and read through twice before you start.
