19-04-2025We bought this as a family game. We had never played a cooperative game before. In fact, our family is very competitive and we love games, but we just could not imagine a game where the players were cooperating with one another. We all win, or we all lose - What!?! It made no sense and definitely didnt sound very fun (i.e., competitive). We were WRONG!!! Pandemic is a very fun game, and it is very competitive, but the competition is in trying the beat the game together. The first time we played it (on the easiest setting), we thought we were doing well and the game was too easy, but then the cards (time) ran out and we lost!!! That was all we needed to get our competitive juices flowing and wanting to play again and again! We werent going to let some game beat us! There is only 1 way for the players to win, but 3 different ways for the game to win. We now regularly beat the game about 50% of the time on the easy setting, 33% of the time on the medium setting, and weve never won at the hardest setting. Another factor for us is that our family consists of 5, but the game plays only up to 4 players, so we delayed purchasing it for over a year, but finally made the plunge. We now regularly play it with 5 players (using 2 cards like with a 4 player game). The game doesnt seem harder or easier with the 5th player. Our success rate is about the same if we play with 4 or 5 players. We found out that we also love cooperative games! Pandemic is a great game - cooperative, competitive, and tense!

> 3 dayI absolutely love this game. Its one of my favorites. Its complex and intriguing with multiple difficulty levels available. There are many different characters to play and tons of scenarios that can develop to keep the game different and interesting every time. The best part is the cooperative gameplay. Thats hard to find in quality games, and its very well done in Pandemic. There is a 4 player limit in the standard version, but its not hard to think up ways to easily play with 4+ or even with just one player. I think the game length is good. My average game is probably around 45 minutes, but we like to debate our strategies quite a bit. You could put a time limit on turns and really speed things up. I think we did a speed round in about 15 minutes once. Youll want to keep the rulebook handy while youre new to the game, and obviously the game takes a bit longer when you need to reference the rules frequently. Overall, could not recommend this game more! Its a great choice. Even losing is fun, maybe even more than winning sometimes.

> 3 dayThis is a really fun game that can either end really quickly or take up to an hour. It also can stress you out to no end watching as the virus just spreads and there is nothing you can do about it. My only gripe about it is to really get a good game experience you have to play on the hardest level--which is fine, just a little frustrating. Ive mostly played it two player and it works well (we usually loose quickly but its a lot of fun) but have played it with four players. Four players is fun as well, but its a lot easier to win that way. Ive seen the expansion pack for this and Im considering getting it with the hope the game is a little more challenging. Ive never seen this game in the stores, but I have seen it go on sale here on Amazon a couple times in the year since I bought it. So if youre considering it watch it for a few months and get it at a lower price.

> 3 dayThis has been my favorite game since the kickstarter version. I have all the spin-offs, but didnt have the original (lost it in my last breakup). So I finally bought it again and am so happy! Now that weve beat it, I need the expansions!

Greater than one weekGreat game to play. Everyone works together to win or lose as a team. Love brainstorming different options together to try to beat the game.

Greater than one weekIt a fun game where you and your friends work together to save the world. The only thing I do not like about the game is the ending. You spend about 45 min, but the game ends when you cure all the infections. If you do manage to win, you still got a game board full of colors cubes. I kind of wish the game came with more player cards to help the game go on longer and have the end be when you exterminated all infections vs just cure them. Now this is a board game, so there nothing stopping you from just reshuffle the player deck and keep going until you clear the board. Over all it still a fun game and I highly recommend anyone to try it. I find the game easier with 2 people and gets harder the more people you play with, even wtih just 2 people the game is not easy.

> 3 dayWe love this game. We will get into a groove of playing it several nights in a row. Its so much fun to play a collaborative game. This games mechanic is perfect--it seems like every time we play it comes down to the wire for us, whether we win or the game wins. Because you can be different characters and the starting board changes, its never the same game twice. I like that you can adjust the difficulty. Some nights I just want to save the world, so we adjust the difficulty to make it easier. This is just an super fun, intense, well-designed game that is easy to learn and addictive.

> 3 dayPandemic - a fun game that takes about an hour to play. Weve played it with two and with four. It worked well with both numbers. I particularly like the fact that all players win-or-lose together so animosity is minimal during and after the game. I have played this about 4 times at the lowest of several difficulty settings and the win-lose ratio has been equally divided. The game is complicated to set up and the moves are complicated to make but clear graphics on the board make the action more fluid. A worthwhile game to have in your game-room.

> 3 dayFun game, you work as a team. Although we needed to watch a youtube tutorial to grasp all the complex rules, so not a game youd want to play after a few drinks lol

> 3 dayHi guys, just to let you know that if you are going to get this game, this is the correct version, there is another with a price tag of $37.00. That one is the first reprint and it had an error on the map. Do not buy the cheaper one, buy this one, the 2nd edition revised. The error will not make it unplayable but will surely add more difficulty or less option to the game. The route between Lagos and Sao Paulo is missing and is very important to have. The premise of the game is very thematic, makes you feel like you are really dealing with a stress situation. In this game you will need to use mathematical skills, deduction skills and some good all verbal communication with your teammates to accomplish the goal of finding cures to the different epidemics. The game can be played solo or up to 4 more. A must buy.
