28-12-2024My competitive teen was incensed that we players were all on the same side! My people pleaser teen loved it. I think itxs a super cool idea and enjoyed not being crushed by my hubby, who usually wins games. Lol.

> 3 dayCooperative games like this are great, the players work together to win which is great when you have someone really competitive in the group (you know the one). Because everyone works together, theres less smack-talk and more fun. If you struggle learning new games, check out some of the instructional videos available online to get up and running much faster!

> 3 dayWhat a fun, new kind of game for me and my wife to try out together and with some friends. We bought this on a recommendation from several friends and family members, never having played it before. It took us some time to go over all the rules and make sure we understood everything, which was a little daunting at first, but once we got going we quickly found ourselves having a lot of fun as we collaborated and tried to figure out just the right strategy for winning this game. And then we lost! But we still had a great time. We had been warned that it usually takes a few failed attempts before winning your first round of Pandemic, but we didnt realize that wed be losing three more times before finally gaining a victory. Word to the wise: If you are not playing with a Pandemic veteran during your first several games, keep the rulebook close by and quickly skim through parts of the rulebook every few minutes, just really quickly, to make sure you arent missing anything that could otherwise be helping you out. We were on our own as we figured this game out and, in the process of getting lost in the fun of the game, we forgot two or three important rules that actually serve as advantages to the players, and I believe those omissions greatly contributed to how long it took us to nail a win. And even after our first win I remembered one aspect of my Role Card I had neglected most of the game that would have come in handy! Great game, lots of rules, but WELL worth the effort in learning them! Youll feel like you can conquer the world after your first win.

> 3 dayMy husband and son (8 years) have played this game at least once a week since I gave it as a birthday present. I love it that they can play on the same team. No accusations of cheating or unfair moves, no getting upset when he loses (the boy not the husband, lol), and the game has different roles they can play so its fresh each time. Definitely recommend.

> 3 dayGreat cooperative game to introduce this style to people. We played with our parents (50+) and they got into it just as much as a 20 something gamer. Exciting at first but I can see how it may get a little less exciting when played more often. This game accommodates 2-4 players and 3 levels of difficulty. Cons: - For a colorblind person, the colors in this game are difficult. The black cubes are not exactly fully black. The pawns are also wierdly colored. -Some of the pieces and board are not super well made. -As someone mentioned, we only have 5 epidemic cards... - Game mechanics could be explained better in the manual. Pros: - Cards are great quality. - Pieces are manageable and come with baggies. - Fun and fairly eaay to get into.

> 3 dayThis game was a little tricky to learn but the internet videos helped. It was a little pricey. Game play was good and you can vary the difficulty with adding or removing epidemic cards. It was also possible to play alone if you played both of the 2 players in a 2 player setup (not cheating since players work together to win anyway).

> 3 dayDo you board Game nights get a little competitive? Try a cooperative game then. This one is great to get everyone working together rather than against each other.

Greater than one weekI first saw Pandemic played while going down a Youtube rabbit hole. I was interested but turned off by the price for a board game. Fast forward to xmas and it was on sale. Completely worth the full price. Lots of fun for our family, and a new spin on a board game. Its nice to work together as a team to beat the game instead of working against each other. After the first play through two adults and an 11 year old had the rules down, and its pretty easy to get the hang of. Great for family game night, or to play with friends.

> 3 dayMy wife and I had been looking for board games for a while to play as a family (we have a 13 year old daughter). My wife is extremely competitive and me, well, Im definitely not a competitive person. I purchased this one as a means to keep the rage at bay for when a loser doesnt like losing or to enhance the enjoyment for those who care not if they win or lose and someone is taking the game too seriously. A cooperative game didnt make much sense to me at first, but once we opened up the game, figured out how to start our first game, and then take on widespread diseases all across the world we realized there was no turning back. Since we played our first game of Pandemic, we havent played competitive games since with very rare exceptions. This isnt just because cooperative game play leads to a happier marriage. No, no. The largest portion of what makes this game so good is that it the game play requires so much strategy and is surprisingly simple to learn as soon as you start playing. It offers a very dynamic challenge while also offering great rewards when your strategies work out. It also offers different difficulty settings very easily by adding or taking away a single type of card (6 total, adding all 6 of the infection cards means the game is painfully difficult. Going down to 4 of them makes for a far easier experience). If anyone enjoys board games then this is by far the one Id recommend more than any other when it comes to cooperative game play.
