> 24 hourIm sure this blanket has a fire suppression use, but as others have stated, this product is made out of fiberglass, which can cause cancer and cannot be handled with bare hands. That should be made clear on the website. You cannot use this in your house, especially if you have children and pets, and I dont know why the label says it is safe to put it on children and pets. I returned it.

> 24 hourNew -- to us -- house has a huge gas cooktop in the kitchen. It kinda looks commercial. Which is super cool, but theres no commercial overhead fire extinguisher system. This fire blanket gives us another level of protection to the fire extinguisher. Another way to handle a grease fire. Easy to install with a nail or picture hanger, in our case in a storage cabinet at edge of the kitchen. Operation would be fast and easy. All seems good quality. No issues. Hope the picture helps you.

> 24 hourI have not had to use this yet but covering a fire is so much better than spraying it and making a mess. Worth it for the piece of mind alone.

> 24 hourWe are using this at a church concession stand and we purchased 2 deep fryers for the counter. We bought this for any possible mishap. Hopefully we will never have to use it but I feel comfortable knowing that I have something to put a fire out without having to use a fire extinguisher

> 24 hourThis is one of those items where I’ll be very very happy if I never have to use it. I have it hanging on the side of the tool chest in my craft studio. I actually did have a piece catch on fire the other day, but thankfully it went out as soon as I took the heat aay and I didn’t have to bust out the blanket. :-) But I was very glad it was there if I had needed it.

> 24 hourIt’s hard to tell how many stars to give this product because I haven’t used it on a fire. If I’m wrong I’m wrong…I’m going to assume that this is a five star product because it’s here. When I found this there wasn’t anything else like it here. It seems like a really good idea and could work better than the spray powder stuff in some instances. I really hope I don’t have to use it actually. I do definitely feel better about having this available. If I can’t find the extinguisher or it runs out or something.
