> 3 dayNew -- to us -- house has a huge gas cooktop in the kitchen. It kinda looks commercial. Which is super cool, but theres no commercial overhead fire extinguisher system. This fire blanket gives us another level of protection to the fire extinguisher. Another way to handle a grease fire. Easy to install with a nail or picture hanger, in our case in a storage cabinet at edge of the kitchen. Operation would be fast and easy. All seems good quality. No issues. Hope the picture helps you.

> 3 dayI recently moved into a new house and realized I needed some sort of fire suppression device (fire extinguisher or fire blanket) since, unsurprisingly, the previous owners didnt leave one. I had the opportunity to try this product and it has already given me such a piece of mind! The product arrived in simple packaging consisting of a clear plastic envelope/enclosure. The instructions for use are right on the outside of the fire blanket cover, so I read through those to familiarize myself with what Id need to do if, god forbid, something in my house caught on fire. Essentially you just pull the straps to get the blanket out from its cover, then throw the blanket over the fire (or wrap up the on-fire person in the blanket) to put the fire out. Because it clearly stated it was made of glass fibers, and as other reviewers have pointed out, unfolding it can cause some splinters, I did not open the blanket. The directions are so straightforward I did not feel it necessary to undo the blanket when I did not need to use it. The blanket seems to conform to modern fire safety standards so that is enough to satisfy me. Overall, this is a great product for roughly $13, and Id recommend it to anyone needing some sort of fire suppression product for their home!

> 3 dayI hung this fire blanket inside of a cabinet close to the stove using a screw and a washer so its secure and will not slip off. To get quick access to the blanked it will need to be hung up. This blanket pulls out and opens up very easily. It can be folded back up for testing. We also keep a 711a fire extinguisher under the sink. But this blanket would be the first thing to go for and less mess than a fire extinguisher. No one wants to ever think that a fire could happen but they do. Plan ahead please

> 3 dayIt’s hard to write a review for something like a fire blanket, as I have actually used it and hope I never need to. But I’m a pretty safety conscious guy with a couple of teenagers that occasionally go brain dead in the middle of cooking something on the stove, and while I have two fire extinguishers near the kitchen, the thought of cleaning up that mess led me to want a fire blanket hoping that could take care of a smaller fire before going full Fire Marshall Bob. If I ever have to actually deploy the blanket and it works, I’ll come back and upgrade my four stars to five.

> 3 dayI hope I never have to use this product, but the package makes it easy to open in an emergency, and the instructions are clear and simple.

Greater than one weekWe keep these in our emergency kit. Luckily we haven’t had to use them but I feel safer having these in my kit. They hardly take up any space.
