This wooden gate is attractive and perfect for the 5’ wide/cased opening doorway between our foyer and formal living room. We can step over it, but it’s also easy to just swing an end panel and pass through. My dogs completely respect the barrier and do not attempt to knock it over, though I should say we are talking about two well-mannered older labs — a boisterous dog (or toddler) would definitely be able to knock the gate over, as it is a freestanding unit. If it were to fall onto a pet (or toddler), I think it would probably surprise them but not injure them. I liken the gate’s overall weight to a couple of sturdy wooden kitchen chairs. The barricade is going to work best if you set it up in a slightly zig-zagged Or accordion-style arrangement across the doorway — you don’t want the gate to stretch flat across because it won’t be able to hold itself up. This unit would not be safe across a stairway unless you live in an adult-household and simply need to redirect an already well-trained pet from going up or down the stairs. The gate arrived packaged very well and the paint job was in perfect condition. The box was quite heavy, I asked the delivery person to assist with bringing it into the foyer for me.

These look so much better in our home than the traditional baby gated types of gates. They also will not pinch, get hung up, twist or need any type of interference as they are extremely sturdy. We use them to gate off wide areas in our open floor plan for two 12-week old yorkies. Looks great and glad we purchased them in white.

I love this gate, but my little 4-month old, 3.7 pound Shih Tzu/Mini Poodle managed to jump it. I should have named her Pogo!?! The gate looks very nice no matter where I put it. I got the white. The only downside is I wished it had hinges that would enable each panel to swing either way. It is very well made!

This is a very nicely made dog fence! It’s heavy enough that it stays in place, plus it has non-slip pads on the bottom. I was quite impressed when I saw it! I got the white one, and the paint is perfect. It looks nice and expensive, and it works!

I purchased this to use while recovering from knee replacement to keep my doggies off my lap. One of my best purchases made on Amazon for sure. It’s heavyweight enough that it stands upright & very easy to maneuver. I have Miniature Schnauzers - obviously might not be helpful with larger dogs. Works perfectly for me !!

I bought this to create some separation during feeding times for dogs I babysit. It works, but if you have a strong or pushy dog, its not hard for them to nudge it open. So I place it right up against the cabinet so that even if they nudge, it wont go anywhere. It looks nice in my home and wipes clean easily.

The packaging was so protective. Zero assembly. Heavy duty and easy to use.
