I have a small 5 pound dog who has been able to get through most of the gates I had purchased. This was my 5th gate I’ve purchased in the last two months. All the other tension gates or mounted gates were not able to contain her or were too burdensome to step over or open and close. As with any free standing gate you have to make sure to position it so it won’t fall over. But I don’t use any feet for extra stability and instead just wedge each end of the gate against a corner or a door hinge so my dogs can’t push it over or move it easily and it’s been perfect. I was a little skeptical at first because this was lower priced than some similar gates for sale on amazon but I’m very happy with this purchase. There was no assembly, it’s attractive, sturdier than I expected for the cost, and keeps my little escape artist contained and safe.

Brought 2 packages, took 2 panels and added to 4 original panels to make it 6 panels, used 2 remaining panels separately. That way I have 3 ways to walk though. Awesome looking and very functional.

I bought two of these to gradually expand my baby bunny’s free roaming space. I used cube grids to make them taller when he got big enough to jump over. They’ve been great for my purposes, but I did accidentally kick one over and a piece broke out with surprising ease. I super glued it back together. My bunny’s only 3 1/2 pounds but he does stand against them and has run at them full speed. They’re plenty stable for him but I wouldn’t use with an animal much heavier or more rambunctious.

I spent quite some time checking the different dog gates that are available before I decided on this purchase. I chose this one as I liked the look of it and thought it would go well with my decor. It arrived very well packed and it was an added bonus not having to assemble it. Other gates that I had looked at do not come assembled. I am very pleased with the quality and the appearance of it and it folds up nicely when not in use. I bought it in preparation for a Maltese that I am getting at the end of August. Obviously I cannot comment on how it stands up to a Maltese puppy but I am not disappointed in how the gate looks and the quality of it. I recommend it.

I purchased this to use while recovering from knee replacement to keep my doggies off my lap. One of my best purchases made on Amazon for sure. It’s heavyweight enough that it stands upright & very easy to maneuver. I have Miniature Schnauzers - obviously might not be helpful with larger dogs. Works perfectly for me !!

We bought 2 of these 4 panel gates over a month ago and are very happy with them. They keep our Pug and Maltese dogs from going up or down the stairs. The hinges make it really easy to open and close with just one hand. I really appreciate the rubber feet that keep our wood floors from getting marked up and add some friction to prevent the panels from sliding around. The finish is high quality and matches our railings. There was no assembly needed. I just unboxed and set them up. I like that they arent anchored to the wall like some systems. If I want to block off a room it is easy to just pick them up and move them across a doorway.

Perfect size for keeping my small puppy in the kitchen while I am not home. Has some weight to it so he is unable to move it. Seems sturdy enough for a small breed.

This wooden gate is attractive and perfect for the 5’ wide/cased opening doorway between our foyer and formal living room. We can step over it, but it’s also easy to just swing an end panel and pass through. My dogs completely respect the barrier and do not attempt to knock it over, though I should say we are talking about two well-mannered older labs — a boisterous dog (or toddler) would definitely be able to knock the gate over, as it is a freestanding unit. If it were to fall onto a pet (or toddler), I think it would probably surprise them but not injure them. I liken the gate’s overall weight to a couple of sturdy wooden kitchen chairs. The barricade is going to work best if you set it up in a slightly zig-zagged Or accordion-style arrangement across the doorway — you don’t want the gate to stretch flat across because it won’t be able to hold itself up. This unit would not be safe across a stairway unless you live in an adult-household and simply need to redirect an already well-trained pet from going up or down the stairs. The gate arrived packaged very well and the paint job was in perfect condition. The box was quite heavy, I asked the delivery person to assist with bringing it into the foyer for me.
