> 3 dayWhile I am using this software for many years (the first free version came with my first digital camera), I would never ever recommend anybody to purchase it now. What was okey and relatively user friendly a decade ago makes no sense now when you can subscribe and use Photoshop and Gimp for practically nothing. My biggest issue with the program is horrible memory management. Its is incapable of opening and editing multiple images (I do a lot of scrapbooking) and having a text added to an image makes it practically dead. Just go for more powerful and decent editors. There are enough tutorials online to have anybody started with Photoshop even if you have a zero technical background.

> 3 dayI have been a big fan for years, but wish they could do more for blury shots and more details, need a better way to remove objects. You need different programs which means more money, but a great overall product.

> 3 dayGreat editing software. Very easy to learn and use. Wish I could get it to setup as my default viewer. Not sure why I cant see it as an option in the program list. I just have to open the program first then find my photo or right click and pick EDIT WITH PHOTOIMPACT. Oh well... Still love it.

> 3 dayI have had previous versions of PhotoImpact, and love their product. I like to get the latest version, and this version is well worth purchasing, however, I have not had time to review all the new features.

> 3 day10 years ago, I would have given this 5 stars. Ive been using it and earlier versions for many years. But it hasnt been updated since 2008 and has passed from ULEAD, which was bought by Corel, and then was sold to Nova Development because Corel already had a competing line. Nova doesnt even show it on their web page any longer. IMHO, it ought to be cheaper by now. So consider these factors when you consider purchasing.

> 3 dayIve used the older version but when the new microsoft was updated, it made it obsolete. I had to buy a newer version. I cant live without this. I love it for creating cards and creating great photos. Its like cheating. Everyone thinks Im a great photographer, but its just the magic of Photoimpact.

> 3 dayIf the instructions say type in the serial # and there is nothing that gives you any clue what it is and where it is, not good. Went on their website and found that I was not the only person scratching their heads.

19-11-2024I was looking for a replacement for the Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10 program that I had been using for years. I figured that after all this time, software technology undoubtly had made improvements that would be noticeable. Not so in this case. While it is true that there are a few powerful tools in this software, it is not as user friendly as should be expected and learning these will take some time. Not so with Microsofts program as within minutes you will easily be erasing unwanted objects (which can also be done in Nova but with extra steps, etc), cropping, and so forth.

> 3 dayI have been using PhotoImpact for over 20 years now since getting a partial product with an old scanner from a computer show PhotoImpact 3. I have photo Paint, photoshop, and a slew of other graphic software. PhotoImpact is loaded with package material to do so many different projects. It started from ULEAD before COREL bought them. For under $100 and not having to pay monthly to use it this product puts PhotoShop to shame. I would recommend this fantastic software package to anyone. Its just incredible.

> 3 dayLet me start by saying I typically love PhotoImpact. I have used it since version 7 and have upgraded it over the years. I started out photo editing using PhotoShop and found that I liked everything about PhotoImpact better. However, I can not recommend version 13. I am so disappointed it in and I am trying to return it (yea right?!). It installed fine after removing my version 11 and I was up and running. I spent a lot of time getting my desktop exactly how I like it, adding and deleting toolbars that I use often and customizing them. After I finished I closed PhotoImpact. When I came back to it later that night ALL of my customization had defaulted back to its original settings. I thought I had done something wrong so I spent time re-doing it. Same thing happened. Also, the text description of the various tools is not there. There is just a blank grey space where it should be and you have to drag your mouse over the tool to actually see what the tool does. I contacted their customer service and this is their exact answer Unfortunately, that option is a part of the code. Im not sure why it was modified so drastically, but there is no way to reset that to the old style. Hmmm . . Based on that answer I am assuming there is no way to customize your work space unless you do it every time you open PhotoImpact. Personally I find this unacceptable. I also find it unacceptable to have an empty grey space where the text description of the toolbar should be. Their tech support has been very slow to respond to my emails and they do not have a toll-free number that you can call and talk to them. I do not recommend you buy version 13. I would recommend that you find Version 11 that works great!
