> 3 dayI have used various versions of PhotoImpact since the mid 90s, since I believe version 4 was included with a scanner my family owned. It is a solid program, with a very good selection of editing tools. I absolutely stand behind it as one of the best options for an affordable photo and image editing software suite.

> 3 day10 years ago, I would have given this 5 stars. Ive been using it and earlier versions for many years. But it hasnt been updated since 2008 and has passed from ULEAD, which was bought by Corel, and then was sold to Nova Development because Corel already had a competing line. Nova doesnt even show it on their web page any longer. IMHO, it ought to be cheaper by now. So consider these factors when you consider purchasing.

> 3 dayGreat editing software. Very easy to learn and use. Wish I could get it to setup as my default viewer. Not sure why I cant see it as an option in the program list. I just have to open the program first then find my photo or right click and pick EDIT WITH PHOTOIMPACT. Oh well... Still love it.

> 3 dayI used Photo Impact 4.0 for many, many years and loved it. Unfortunately it would not load onto Windows 7. 13 still has much the same look and intuitive feel as 4 but with many new features. The enclosed manual takes a bit of searching due to a slightly skimpy index. This can be overcome by bouncing between the table of contents and the index. Very versatile, well worth the money. I noticed during the loading that many of the files still had the old ULEAD in the file name.

Can-do
Greater than one weekI order this product in Dec. and was anxious to try it out. It wouldnt install so I called the tec who agreed that the disk was corrupted and I would receive a new one. I waited and waited but never heard any futher from anyone. I e-mailed several times and finally someone returned my e-mail and asked what product I ordered. Apparently the tec did not forward my information. So they said I would receive a new disk and were going to charge me. I said I paid for it once, I wasnt going to pay again. Apparently they thought this was a new order so they said I would receive a replacement disk. I am still waiting. Will let you know if it was worth the wait.
