I’m new to resin printing, but in the past 2 weeks I’ve tried both the Anycubic Eco Resin and this Phrozen Aqua-Gray 4K. The Anycubic Eco has been much better both in terms of build quality and smell. This Phrozen resin is very smelly to me. I’m sure it’d be fine for those that have good ventilation, but it was terrible for me as I only have one small window to vent my space. I’m not sure how this qualifies as “low odor” but I’d very much recommend using only in very well ventilated area and possibly even a respirator. The build quality was fine, but I actually got better prints with the Anycubic Eco resin. The Phrozen came out brittle. This very well could be my print settings as I’m using Chitubox’s default profile for this resin with my Phrozen Sonic mini 4K and I had to create my own profile for the Anycubic Eco (0.05mm layers, 9 second exposure, 60 second base layer exposure, 8 base layers). Lastly, it’s much cheaper buying directly from Phrozen. Not sure why Amazon tacks on an extra $10/kg. Overall, it was definitely usable, but it seems like there are better products out there in the market.

I just recently purchased a Phrozen Sonic Mini 4K and managed to grab some Aqua 4K Grey as well (it is hard to find in Canada so had to order it here). I havent used other brands of resin yet, but so far Aqua 4K resin works great! There doesnt seem to be much shrinkage; the resin smell is relatively mild (in my opinion); print quality is fantastic and works really well at 2.5s exp @ 50um and 1.9-2s exp @ 30um layer heights. I accidentally dropped part of a model, comprised of detailed fingers/nails, from about a foot onto my desk and nothing broke. You can snap thin parts if youre not careful but the prints seem durable enough for gaming and certainly strong enough for show-pieces. Overall Im quite happy with this resin!

Print quality is only a little better than abs like resin. And youll need to increase the cure time on the initial layers

I ordered 2 bottles of 4k grey resin to Chile. 1 month later, I got the 2 resins in the correct package, but to my surprise, when I opened them, they were 2 bottles of phrozen abs-like resin. I wont go thru the process of getting them back.. so i am stuck with these resins. I tested them. Worst resins I have test. Printed in phrozen mighty 4k, they where so stuck to the base plate, that when I was going to remove them they shattered in small pieces. bad resin. not what i ordered.

Es una resina muy buena, todas mis impresiones las hago con 30 micrones y el patron de impresión baja bastante frente a otras resinas. Recomiendo al 100% esta resina.

    Greater than one week

Item is being sold as a non-toxic solution. Bottle says it is definitely toxic and carcinogenic.

(UPDATE 10/14/20) so now with stocks lasting Ive been able to pickup 6 more bottles for a nice stock of resin. Already gone through 1 1/2 bottles in the last week sense October 5th. I have notice with this new stock the sediment issue I said bellow is not affecting me so quickly as the first sept batch did. This batch is doing much better. Still separates quickly and needs mixing every other print. But at least now I know what to expect with batches that are not very good. So been using this resin now for a week. I was only able to nab a single bottle before selling out and hopefully get more with restocking. The review. So far my week of use and constant printing Im loving this resin! The detail and fast curing with a monochrome setup is great! Im using a mars 2 Pro at 2sec times. The details are fantastic and on par with some higher end resins that would normally cost around $70-$80 for a bottle. This new 4k resin knocks it out of the park... But it isnt without fault as well. I didnt notice until I was passing my 5-6 days of printing, that the resin does have 2 issues. 1st: it separates very quickly, so this does need regular mixing. Most resins I use I can sit for 3+ days before noticing separation. This resin does it within 24hrs of sitting. So mix often! 2nd: I noticed a problem with sediment build up. My preference in resin is elegoo abs and FTD Industrial Blend and both those resins I never had to consider sediment build up. But with this new 4k resin I started noticing support failure after day 4, day 5 print fails. I cleaned my vat and clogged the strainer because the build up was that bad after almost a week. That sediment also was sticking to the models to, so I had to use my brush to clean it up. Best way to put it is this resin prints fantastically well for how cheap it is IF! you have a monochrome screen to print with. But comes with the maintenence of a resin from 2018.

For a novice printer like myself, this is the absolute best resin I could hope for. Absolutely no failures, printing everything I threw at it with high fidelity on the default chitubox settings in a Phrozen Sonic mini. Printed upwards of 30 miniatures, and some much larger pieces (like the tank and also a small cottage) before running out. Tried another cheaper brand after this and was floored by the lower quality, will be going back to Phrozen for faster print times and ease of use. 10/10 especially for first timers

I can’t get the settings dialed in and far too many prints fail. Switching to Siraya Tech Fast Navy Gray.
