> 3 dayWhen buying a Vita, the choice tends to boil down to whether you want an OLED or LED screen. While this model only has an LED, the colors are still nice and bright and the black levels arent too grey. The thinner form factor is great and the added battery life definitely comes in handy when it comes to the portability. The built-in memory is also a great feature because it gives you some time to wait for a sale on the memory sticks, although it is worth warning that one or two updates for cartridge games can still eat through the gig quickly. For example, Wipeout 2048 has a set of patches and two updates that clock in at well over a gigabyte. The imported nature of the unit caused no real problems. Almost the first thing you do when turning on the new unit is set the language. After setting the language, the only problem is that some games seem to hard code their button configs, rather than use the regional settings. This means that the majority of the time O/X will have one set of behaviour, but in games they occasionally switch.

Greater than one weekI ordered it in a failed attempt to get it here before I went on a trip. In its defense it arrived three days earlier then the expected shipping date. Now about the stuff you actually care about. This little consol is awesome! I love the color, the blue is very nice and Ive had it for almost a month and I havent gotten tired of it in the slightest. The screen is beautiful in my opinion, I havent had the original vita but this one seems great to me nonetheless. Its really easy to enjoy it immediately if you have Playstation Plus due to the fact you get multiple games for free right off the bat. I went out and bought a memory card for it though because although it comes with one gigabyte of storage, its not nearly enough for any games. The build quality is great, Im generally very careful with my stuff so I havent dropped it yet so I cant comment on its resistance to that. If youre a guy and you have the jeans with decent sized pockets then you can definitely carry this thing around in your pocket due to how slim and light it is, you hardly even notice its there. So enough with my rambling Ill leave you with a final decision and a recommendation for some games. The games I have had the most fun with are Unit 13 (free from PSN) because its easy to pickup and put down when you need it. Persona 4 golden, this game.... Its just great, if you enjoy games where there is a great in depth story, lovely character development, and a feeling of personal relation to whats happening in the game.... Then get it. If you dont like that stuff, get it anyways and at least try it. OK now, my verdict is, definitely a five star product. Its well built, fun to use, and despite what people say it really does have a good game library. So I recommend this product to anyone who enjoys gaming anytime anywhere.

> 3 dayThe design is very appealing and the system is sleek, making for a very comfortable gaming experience. The old vita was heavy and clunky, and while this one does have a less vivid screen, I think its an improvement so the brightness doesnt burn my eyes out at night. The O and X button functionalities are swapped, even on the games, but they play just fine and the system is region free. US PSN account is compatible, so I think any PSN account would work on this system. I love this system.

> 3 dayThe title really says it all. There were no visible physical imperfections, and the system operates perfectly. I did have to set it up, but that was no issue at all.

> 3 dayI purchased this version of the Vita mainly because of the uniqueness of its color. Only the all-black Vita slim (Borderlands 2 bundle) is available in the US as of this review and based on history, the US never gets as many color options as Japan. The color in the photo is pretty accurate. The front is white and back is an icy, light blue. In terms of functionality, Ive had no problems using this Vita with my US PlayStation account or games. This is basically exactly the same as the US version with one small exception. For US, the X button is usually used for affirmative commands (e.g., yes, enter, etc.) and the O button for negative commands (e.g., no, cancel, etc.). For the Japanese version, its the opposite. For example, you press O to start a game instead of X. However, this is the case only when navigating around the main operating system. Once youre in a game or app (e.g., YouTube), the convention switches to that used by the game/app. This can get a little confusing sometimes. Of course, you can just use the touchscreen to navigate to avoid this issue completely.

> 3 dayMy new Vita is wonderful! The light blue and white is a beautiful combination! Also, compared to my boyfriends old Vita, the model lost some weight. It is so slim and easy to handle! I am very satisfied with this purchase :)
