I looked at the game the title sounded good. When it got to me I realized that you had blow up what was like a captain caveman type thing and essentially hit another person with it. Its supposed to be a childs game and I didnt feel encourage aging a child to bunk another child for having an opinion or playing a game is really the way to go so I returned it

Id bump the age up to nine or ten. Third grade. I have three years of substitute teaching.

It’s impossible not to crack up while playing this. Between getting bopped over the head with the blow up bat and only using one syllable words the game plays fast with 60 seconds per ‘poet’. Each team plays back and forth until everyone has been the poet. Game can go as quick as 10 minutes a round. We play 2 rounds. Very teachable and you can learn in 1 round. Makes a great gift too for the wordsmith of the family or the game lover too! It’s hard to find a card game that is easy to learn, repeat playable, and fun to teach. Great for large groups too. I would say play with at least 4 people. We played with 6 people then 8, both times about 10 minute rounds. Definitely recommend. I’d say this game is comparable to Apples to Apples or Cards Against Humanity in playability.

Fun and funny. Need more cards. Almost ran through them in two days. Whacker likely to pop but its not about the whacker.

We didnt inflate the club, we choose to make a buzz sound. This is a lot of fun to play. Since you arent supposed to use words larger than one syllable, it is a little challenging at the beginning but after a few turns it gets easier. 8-) Lots of laughs! We have one person do the word and let the whole group guess together. Highly recommend!

If youre into odd games, this is definitely for you! (And even if this isnt you, its still for you!) Its so easy to learn, and its honestly so much fun! The hardest thing about the game is just blowing up the inflatable club! This is perfect for large group gatherings and game nights!

Everyone at our senior independent living loves this game. I got it for both my kids families for Christmas because it’s so much fun and not easy.

I recently purchased the board game Poetry for Neanderthals and it has quickly become one of my favorite party games! The game is easy to learn and play, and its perfect for groups of all ages. The concept of the game is simple: players take turns giving clues to their teammates to help them guess a word or phrase, but the catch is that the clues can only consist of one-syllable words. If a player uses a word with multiple syllables, they get bopped on the head with a toy inflatable club, representing the Neanderthal perspective. The game is not only fun but also incredibly hilarious. Watching your friends and family struggle to come up with one-syllable words for complex phrases is a riot, and getting bopped on the head with the club adds an extra layer of hilarity. The game comes with a deck of cards with words and phrases, as well as the inflatable club and a rulebook. The components are all of high quality and the art is colorful and fun. Overall, I highly recommend Poetry for Neanderthals to anyone looking for a fun and entertaining party game that will have everyone laughing and having a great time!
