Just received my game and it was waiting on me after I returned home from my neurologist appointment. My fiance and I have been having a lot of fun playing it so far! The graphics are gorgeous for a Pokemon game.

Preorder Codes Not really a review but it’s about the preorder code that I’m assuming a lot of people are getting wrong or think they got ripped off. You’re suppose to redeem the code via the in game mystery gift code redeem. NOT the Eshop like it says on Amazon directions witch is wrong. Again, your suppose to redeem code via the INGAME Mystery Gift code redeem. Hope this helps.

The game is very colourful and I’m having fun with it so far. I haven’t received the code for the pre-order yet though. Also I’m laughing at people constantly complaining that not every Pokémon is in the game yet. Do you even know how much effort and how long it will take to have them there from the beginning with that many Pokémon from previous games? They explained why before the game was released. Have patience, geeze!

The most beautiful Pokémon game to date. Not a huge fan of quite a few of the new Pokémon designs though.

My daughter (age 9) got really into Pokemon about a year ago, leading us to playing Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee. She’s been obsessed with the franchise ever since. Sword and Shield is a different entry into the series. Instead of a top-down, closed path game, you’re presented with a wide open world to explore, catch pokemon, and take on trainer battles. It’s big, brightly colored, and just lovely to run around and experience. One of the biggest annoyances with “Let’s Go” was the pace of movement, and just getting around felt like a chore. Travel in Sword/Shield feels much better, and the freedom of movement and not being locked out of paths is great. Everything else about the game follows the same basic Pokemon gameplay: catch pokemon, train them up, and battle other trainers. There’s been some controversy about the size the pokedex (the amount of pokemon in-game), but as a more casual fan/player, there’s not really much to say. I’m sure it will be a big deal for hardcore fans, but they will still sink 100+ hours into this game. Differences from Pokemon Shield: As with most pokemon games it’s broken up into two difference versions, each with very minor exclusive pokemon included. Honestly, very few people will care which they get. The game is exactly the same with a couple minor differences. According to other sources here they are: Sword exclusive pokemon: Deino, Zweilous, Hydreigon, Jangmo-o, Hakamo-o, Kommo-o, Gothita, Gothorita, Gothitelle, Rufflet, Braviary, Mawile, Solrock, Passimian, Turtonator, Galarian Sirfetch’d, Galarian Darmanitan, Galarian Darumaka, Flapple Shield exclusive pokemon: Larvitar, Pupitar, Tyranitar, Goomy, Sliggoo, Goodra, Solosis, Duosion, Reuniclus, Vullaby, Mandibuzz, Sableye, Lunatone, Oranguru, Drampa, Galarian Ponyta, Galarian Rapidash, Glaraian Corsola, Cursola, and Appleton There’s also supposed to be a difference in some of the gym leaders, and potentially in which Legendary Pokemon are featured, but these are minor, and only the most hardcore fans are going to care either way which they get. Obviously I haven’t caught them all, but if the above is important to you, make sure you pick the right version!

I listen to every bit controversy surrounding the game and if everyone scrutinize every other Pokemon game as much as they scrutinize this one no one would like this franchise so how about we all shut up and play the game, because once you actually start playing the game youll love it, Im currently about 6 hours in and I cant understand what all the hate from i have listened to all the comments and my opinion is the same. Play then rate it.

This was as great a game as any Pokémon game has ever been, pls disregard any reviews of people complaining about not all Pokémon being in the game. This is called review bombing there are many grown adults mad about the matter. These games are amazing the roster of new Pokémon are all amazing, the game mechanics are a huge improvement, and the amount of playable content is large. These games represent the greatest improvement a Pokémon game has ever seen!
