Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Double Pack - Nintendo Switch

While not a perfect game and the lack of a National Dex is disappointing, Pokemon Sword and Shield provides a fun 70 hour experience so far(living dex complete). If the national dex would arrive I could see my hours being bumped way up. Note that right now if you want to camp/cook with friends Local is your only true option.

Im one of those old school gamers. 20+ years and countless hours devoted to perfecting my pokedex, just to be told it was all pointless. I thought the whole idea was Gotta Catchem All! Just go back to Crystal Version, or Emerald when things were still fun.

Decent new pokemon game. Story is quick and easy only complaint. But there is much to do afterwards.

Just felt like telling everyone that if you preordered to get the backpack you should have received an EMAIL with the code. The code will NOT work in the eshop either! It has to be used in the mystery gift option that unlocks after playing for a little bit. All you would need to do is go to MYSTERY GIFT > Get a mystery Gift > Get with Code/Password Type your code and you should get it Will also need to get to a clothing shop in order to change your bags, hope this helps!

Amazing game!

Terrible graphics for the switch, no voice acting! Story seems terrible so far this doesnt look like a budget game seems like a poorly designed game that was incredibly rushed. Only played 5 hrs n i kinda dont even wanna keep playing.. looks a n64 game but for late 2019 :( poorly designed animations as well i got say this might the worst pokemon game i have ever played!!

My favorite Pokemon game since the original red and blue! Having a blast playing with my hubby and overseas friends. I actually like that their are fewer Pokemon since Im using teams I never did in previous games. Dynamax battles are so fun and something different. On the Amazon side of things I never did get an email with the code for the in game backpack... but I think its ugly so I dont really care. However Amazon should be on top of things for a huge release like pokemon... so Im dissapointed in them but not the game.

Gamefreak and pokemon company are both well funded yet they insist on putting out mediocre games. I love Pokemon, but they need to up their game on the next installment.

This game is good. Its fun for hours. I just know we deserve better. Pokemon is THE biggest money making franchise ever to exist. I could have excused a cut pokedex for new features IF what was added was amazing. Its not. I love doing Raids but the multiplayer features for this game make it difficult to play with who I want to. It even makes it difficult to play with randoms. Why are there no lobbies or alerts or anything? Trading with people in other countries is a chore too. After a while the Raids get boring by yourself and not being able to trade easily sucks. The gameplay needs work too. If we are to this day still splitting these games into 2 versions make them feel and play differently. The only change was in 2 gyms. It feels like a rip off. These games should feel bigger not smaller. There is a while town that gets reduced to a long hallway with no one to interact with. That is all without falling into the rabbit hole over graphics and animations not being where the should be. I bought this game and I dont regret it BUT this entry needs a lot more then it has to offer to warrant the price tag.
