> 3 dayAfter reading the other reviews I knew exactly what to expect and got the product that I paid for. I think the backpack is beautiful. It is made of a very durable leather and has many pockets both inside and out. My only complaint would be that I wish it was a bit larger. It is a very handsome bag and my first time using the backpack a stranger asked me the maker of the bag and where I got it from. Thats the best compliment one can ask for.

> 3 dayTop quality product, good for search and rescue, fishing, hiking, backpacking, school and first aid. Very comfortable to wear. Has a nice older type of look but yet modern enough for when your stepping onto your private LearJet.

> 3 dayDitch your run of the mill highschool back pack and enjoy compliments every day. Top shelf leather that smells great (not overpowering) doesnt bleed onto clothing and reflects your STYLE. The stitching could be heavier guage -- like a saddleback -- and it NEEDS a key leash desperately-- but besides that its a bag for life. Bought my bf one for valentines day n hit order again as soon as it arrived. Interior lsyout is functional n i love the safe zipper against your back. & the 5 front pockets are sick. Youll love it -- just dont tell anyone where ya got it!!

21-11-2024I can not overstate how much I love this bag that I received. I usually keep my expectations low when I order things online, but on this rare occasion I was pretty hyped to receive this bag. My expectations were exceeded 10-fold. This bag is so beautifully crafted with such quality materials that I felt like I underpaid for it. Easily, this is one of the top 5 purchases I have ever made. I do not make these statements lightly. I will forever recommend Polare products and they have gained a customer for life. Keep doing what you are doing, because it is 100% working! I hope you all are proud to work for this company. This product is top notch for a considerabley reasonable price. Please do yourself a favor. If you are on the fence about this product, take the chance. As someone who is very picky about these type of things, I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.

> 3 dayThis is a good quality, THICK leather backpack. The leather is new and STIFF so it will need to be broken in before it takes on the character of the lived-in vintage personality of a good leather bag. This bag was a great buy and I had no doubts once I saw it in person that I would be happy. Leather requires some simple maintenance though: Coconut oil can help lubricate zippers. Beeswax can help slow down a loose zipper or help a loose strap in the front to get a grip. Leather conditioner and oil helps with water spots and cleaning. There are a few ways to make the bag more comfortable: 1) leave it in the original condition and keep using it! Over a good amount of time, the leather will soften. 2) Break it in by hand. This involves bending, kneading, twisting, rolling, folding every inch of the leather. Think of it like breaking in new leather shoes...as one walks in them, the shoes begin to develop characteristic creases as they bend near the toes with each step. 3) Water and oil/ leather conditioner: I dont mean wash the backpack, but instead, use a few drops of water to rub some character in areas. Leather oils and conditioners can help as well to bring out some fantastic depth of color and tone in the natural leather. Say that you want the edges to be darker, use a TINY amount of oil to help darken the areas that you want darker. Also, leather product, just like leather shoes, will need a clean and a shine every now and then in order to look its best.

> 3 dayTo start off with, the bag smells AMAZING. This bag is definitely made of real leather, and feels and looks great, and marks easily, like leather should, and I like the aged look of the marks. The reason this bag receives 4 instead of 5 stars is the leather dye. After reading several reviews about this bag bleeding onto clothing, I decided to rub a white rag across the bag the moment I unwrapped it. Sure enough, it came saturated in dark, reddish brown dye. Im not a leather worker, so I cannot tell you why this is, but it was worth checking. I am a mechanic, my car interior is black, and most of my clothes are black or dark blue, and I come home most nights covered in oil, so this will not be an issue with me, my wife however, likes to wear bright clothing, so she will be unable to use my bag. I recommended curing the bag with Leather Honey to keep it protected, cause investing this much money in a bag would be ridiculous if you didnt take care of it. That being said, I look forward to putting some hard hours on this thing and seeing how long it holds up. On another note, the straps are leather and the cliché bag strap material, and use the strap through loop method (similar to military duffel bags, except without the teeth to held the straps in place) and are NOT padded. If you have weak shoulders, wear a thick jacket, or pack light, cause over time this could wear on you, and the straps may loosen. I would recommend this bag to others, as long as they dont wear light colored clothes a lot. As to the reviews about the zipper, it does appear rather small toothed for a leather bag, but that doesnt bother me, and there is a leather working shop near me I can use to upgrade the zippers. I have not had it long enough to see how well it holds up, but I will post a new review if it does not.

Greater than one weekIve had this bag about a month and have really enjoyed it. This is a replacement for a messenger bag and it is definitely an upgrade! I like that it has a lot of pockets that I can separate out things into compared to a lot of backpacks that just have a few large pockets that you lump things into. Chargers in one pocket, headphones in another, office supplies, medicine, everything has a place. I have a Dell laptop that is 13 x 9 and it fits easily into the laptop pocket. There is a smaller interior divider that my Kindle Fire goes into. A small pocket for my mouse and another pocket for a cell phone. I have a regular sized office portfolio notebook for papers and a legal pad. It all fits easily. The side pouches fit a 16oz bottle of water which is also handy. In a perfect world, the leather would be a bit darker, but the leather looks nice and evenly tan. I did treat the leather with a waterproof sealer since I carry the bag on my motorcycle. This did darken it slightly and it will darken with use, so it is a minor thing. I was surprised at how much I like the pocket closure flaps! They are velcro underneath the flap. The stay secure, but open easily in a second. Lots of compliments on the bag at work!

> 3 dayEDIT: So after a few months I noticed that the main zippered compartment just wont stay closed. I dont overstuff my bag with anything, but the zipper will burst open while I carry the bag around. Ive tried to find Polares contact information and havent had any luck. If anyone has their customer service email or phone number please let me know. The leather material is great, but Im really unhappy with how unreliable the zipper hardware is. The good: This is a gorgeous and roomy bag! So many people have asked me about it. Its my everyday backpack that fits tools, a set of clothes, books, and etc in a surprisingly compact and fashionable design. The not so good: I like to stay organized and the outer and inner pockets are so helpful. I dont really like the side pockets because they are so small. If anything other than a very tiny item gets placed in the side pockets the clasps wont be able to close. I also found that the straps dont feel as thick as the material on the bag. I bought this in March 2017 so Ill write another review before the year is up to see how it holds. The tips: Although leather is already sturdy, Ive used Leather Honey on it to help make the outside water repellent. Ive survived my first heavy rain storm with my things intact. In the future I might just throw a backpack cover on it to be safe. I also lubricated the zippers since they felt a little rough out of the box.
