Polk Audio does not disappoint. These sound amazing for in wall speakers. I highly recommend these.

Honestly I got this because my studs were too close together. It sounds ok, but my Soundavo 8 speakers really outshine this speaker when everything is going. The sound quality is passable, but is probably your best option if your studs are 14 apart.

I use the 255c-RT as the center speaker for six other RC Polk speakers. I am no audiophile, but it sounds great to me. Outside running the cable - man I hate attics - the install was easy and they fit great in standard 2x4 spaced drywall.

Installed these into our executive conference room. They sound great in a big room.

First, I was impressed with this speaker and the 90RTs, and 700lss I purchased. This product contained the wrong screen. The screen that came with this speaker matches a wall mounted front speaker. Millimeters difference, but doesnt fit nonetheless. At first I thought, no big deal, just call customer service and have them send me a new one. I have been dealing with Polk Audio Service for three months now and this screen is still on back-order. How about you open a box and send me one! I cannot speak for the speaker itself since I wont cut a hole in my wall for a speaker I may not use, but Polk Audio customer service in general is extremely sub-par. Id shop elsewhere....NEVER AGAIN!

Bought this when we moved into our new house 3 months ago to go with a pair of rc85is (in wall) for the fronts and rt85is (in ceiling) for surrounds, powered by an Onkyo 636. Is this the best sound system Ive ever heard? No. Is it good enough to impress me on a regular basis? It sure is. Easy install. Seamless look. Great sound for movies and music on a space/cost budget. Just dont plan to put them in a wall that is shared with a room that needs to be quiete as sound bleed through is pretty noticeable. Your results may vary but adding insulation to my walls did little to reduce the problem. Thankfully my wall is shared with a hallway so it is not much of a problem

Excellent in wall center channel speaker. Sounds crisp and clear which is critical for a center channel. Polk 255c-rt brings it home!!

Replaced this Polk in wall speaker for previous Sonnance/Sonos center channel speaker. I use my system primarily for TV sound clarity and secondarily for stereo sound. Vocal clarity of the Polk 255c-RT is much better than the Sonos. Also cannot stress the need for insulation sound dampening behind and around your speakers. I think wall vibration muddies up the sound clarity.

Great center speaker

This center channel delivers a great sound!! It completed the sound of my home theater. It delivers better sound then my other high doller center channel I have on my other system.
