This is a great bench. Doesnt look like plastic, nice honey color, very sturdy and easy to assemble. Would highly recommend. No maintenance, its replacing my teak shower bench which you do have to maintain.

I purchased this bench over a teakwood bench, because I do not have time for sealing the wood periodically. This one is made of polywood, so its waterproof...obviously its ideal for a shower. Even though its not real wood, you wouldnt know it wasnt teakwood. We put it in our marble tiled shower and it looks like something you would see in a spa! Its not wobbly and its a good size....no complaints here!

Got this because one of my showers doesnt have a built in bench or ledge. This bench attracted me because it had that typical spa bench look, but also wasnt made of wood since it is going to always be in a wet and humid area. Material: The manufacturer says the bench is made of polystyrene. I know, you are thinking isnt that the stuff that foam cups are made of? It that cant be very sturdy. Well, I can tell you that this is not the foam version. It is dense, heavy and feels very durable. It is molded in a unfinished teak color. All surfaces have a wood grain with texturing that simulates real wood. To me, unless you inspecting it really close, you wouldnt be able to tell it isnt real wood. Design: As mentioned earlier, the design of this product has that spa bench styling and design that is recognizable everywhere from bath stores, lifestyle magazines, spas and hotels. The top of the bench is curved to provide a comfortable seat or place to rest your leg if you have to shave or wash your legs and feet. The lower shelf is flat for holding items. Both surfaces are slatted to allow water to drain and also to mimic the design of the teak wood products. Assembly: Putting it together is straight forward - Attach the legs to the seat and shelf using the eight bolts. They are Allen head bolts, but an Allen wrench is included. Put on the non-slip feet on the bottom of the legs and your done. Once all the bolts are tightened, I found the bench to be even at all four corners, also when leaning or sitting on it, there wasnt any flexing or wobbling. Evaluation: For the price you could find a teak or wood bench that is similar, but before you do, I would recommend that you considering where and how you will use your bench and also do you want to maintain it. As mentioned before, my intended purpose is to use it in a shower where it will constantly get wet. Since this bench is essentially plastic, no maintenance is required. However, like other types of wood, teak needs to be treated with a stain or oil from time to time to keep it looking good and prevent it from developing mold, etc. Summary: The Psilvam bench is a high quality product that has met our expectations. Thumbs up!

It was really easy to put together (i used an electric screw driver). It came with a small sanding block wich i didnt needed to use. Its sturdy and holds me with no problem (heavy person). The stool is a good size but not as heavy as i though. Perfect size for my shower and it looks nice as well as i have see-through glass. Im very happy with it

I really like this seat. Looks like it will last a very long time. The plastic wood is the best Ive ever seen as far as looking like real wood. Id love if the manufacture made a square one with the depth being the width also. We have a large shower and this larger rectangular one fits great, but it is a bit larger than we would have needed. The offering of a square one would have been the one I bought. Since it is not available, this rectangular one is excellent.

I wanted a shower seat that I could use to shave my legs or sit on while I was washing the dog (we have a large shower). I didnt want another teak one because over time, the teak one we had, while looking good - got mold on the bottom of the legs and I had to continually clean it. This poly lumbar seat has held up nicely, it looks like teak and is very sturdy. I dont see it getting mold because I just wipe it dry and it is dry. I would buy again.

Have this in my master shower and its been holding up very well after a month in there. I was worried it was going to start absorbing the water and deteriorating but nope nothing yet. Its also very sturdy, It doesnt seem to wobble at all when I have a leg on it when shaving or while im fully sitting on it contemplating my life choices. Great product and I would happily buy again if it ever did break.

Easy and quick to put together. Very sturdy. Excited to use without it getting moldy like other wooden shower benches.

I was pleased with the quality of all the parts and fasteners. I assembled the bench in a few minutes without any difficulty. I did not look at the directions until after the assembly, like most guys do! The fit and finish of all the pieces were exceptional. I was delighted that the legs are equipped with nice rubber feet that are adjustable.
