UPDATE MAY 2023- This bench is proving to be an excellent investment! No sign of wear or water damage, and most importantly: NO MOLD whatsoever! Its so sturdy that Ive considered getting one to use in the garden. After dealing with mold/mildew issues with several wood (bamboo, acacia, teak) shower benches, we got a plastic one. Weve had it about 5 years and it has not shown any sign of water related problems, but MAN is it ugly. It makes the whole bathroom feel a bit tacky. A lightbulb illuminated over my head after we had a TREX deck built this spring. Knowing there a several manufacturers who make outdoor furniture from a similar lumber produced in the U.S.A. using recycled plastic bottles, I figured there had to be a shower bench made using this type of lumber. Surprisingly, this is the ONLY ONE I found. It had NO reviews at the time, and wasnt Prime. Never having heard of this company, I crossed my fingers as I ordered it. Thankfully, it arrived within a reasonable time and had been nicely packaged for its travel from China. I laid out all the pieces that were included in the box: a slightly curved top, a straight shelf, 4 legs (w/levelers attached) a card with the hardware shrink wrapped to it, a fine-grit sanding block, and the instruction sheet. My photo of all the pieces has two asterisk [ * and **] footnotes to help you with assembly. Since the seat has a bit of a curve, the tops of the legs are cut at a slight angle in order to sit flush against the underside of the seat and tightly against the crossbar/frame under the seat. A quick inspection will show that this means there is a difference in the right and left (or front and back) legs. So... if the leg doesnt sit flush when you hold it in place and the holes dont line up with the threaded inserts, just move it to a different corner where it does fit. Once you have that figured out, go ahead and attach the four legs but only screw in the bolts with your hands. If it feels tight, DO NOT force it because you dont want to strip the threads. It might take a couple of attempts to get it in perfectly straight but, once you do, it will turn easily with just your fingertips. After the 8 bolts have been screwed in, then go back with the included Allen wrench/hex key and tighten them. That’s it, you are done with assembly and all you need to do is place your bench. If needed, you can adjust the little black levelers so that your bench sits perfectly still without rocking. Typing up this review took twice as long as the actual process of unpacking, unwrapping, and assembling this bench. I love how it looks and how sturdy it is. The only improvement I would suggest is adding some other color options. A weathered teak (with a silvery gray finish) is an option I believe would be very popular.

My husband loves this. He had been wanting one for our shower since we moved into this house. Im glad I was finally able to grab one. Assembly was very quick, easy, and straightforward, I think 10 minutes or less. The color looks great in our shower as we have a lot of warm earth tones. My husband is a larger man so its good that this supports over 300lbs. It feels very sturdy. I recommend getting one.

If you have a home with only a shower, buy this. Its comfortable, sturdy, and wont rot. Also, it looks really good. Money well spent.

Fabulous Spa bench for your bathroom that is made to last. This bench is great for the shower or even next to the tub if you need something to sit on when you dress. The polywood is extremely hard so like all great hard polywood pieces it comes with a sanding block to sand any rough edges. I don’t see you needing the sanding piece unless you’re storing the bench outdoors on polywood decking. The bench is extremely sturdy and solid. It’s far nicer than the medical shower stools Drs write for. If you need something I would say look no further. This stool is really nice and ideal if you’re looking for a decorative functional bathroom piece.

This bench is great!! I searched hundreds of teak bench’s but was concerned the color would be too red for our bathroom. I was a little nervous about ordering this one since it’s not real wood but I could not be more pleased! It feels great! Dries quickly!! So no worries about mold or mildew. It’s the perfect height too. The color is light and goes great with our new vanity. Husband put it together in just a few minutes!

I have a large shower area and I got this bench for outside the shower so I had a place to sit while I was drying off, this bench is perfect! It was easy to assemble and it is very sturdy to sit on. It has a small shelf under the set - I put my shower shoes there. It is very attractive and I like that it is water resistant.

This is a very attractive and sturdy bench. It is light enough to move around and feels strong. The height is perfect. I was surprised when I unboxed it, its really looks like teak. Assembly was a snap, only 8 screws and it was ready for use. The shelf under the seat is convenient for lotions and such. Its a very nice addition to my bath.
