I bought these markers for my girls to decorate seashells. Overall, Im pleased with the markers - the colors are bright, and the paint goes on smoothly and easily, and provides a thick, opaque coating. Unfortunately, we found that when using these to draw on shells with ridges (e.g. clams) or small surface features, the ink would often wick along the ridge/surface. Not really the fault of the pen, surface tension is just a fact of life. But, since many people by these to use on seashells/rocks, I thought I should mention it.

Ive never used paint markers before and the Posca markers are great! The packaging is in Japanese, but I just watched a tutorial online and it was no problem figuring out how to use them (which I really recommend doing!). I do wish that the colors were a little less...ugly? The pink, green, and blue are all very vivid shades that remind me a bit of a kindergarten classroom, and I wish they were a bit more muted.

My granddaughter loved these markers! She got them for her birthday and has loved to draw with them and illustrate her pictures.
