> 24 hourFirst it said the short was in a connector that was fine. Then it said the short was in the frame. Wish I wouldnt have bought and paid so much for it.

> 24 hourIve used this device consistently for two months, which I think is ample time to formulate an opinion. My experience up to this point always ended the same - I reverted to my own homemade tool and method of circuit diagnosis, which has been determined to be faster, more accurate; and the tool didnt cost $130.00. This probably works OK on cars, but not so well on trucks. This is not a criticism of the tool, but trucks contain much more metal in the chassis, which disrupts the ability of the receiver to follow the signal. The ability to track a short to ground is OK, but the device isnt capable of tracking a short to power. I was led to believe that the device could be used on an active circuit, which it cannot - the circuit must be completely isolated. This is understandable and the the only method that I truly trust, but this tool doesnt tell you much more than a low-impedance incandescent bulb will, which costs a lot less than $130.00. Other observations include: » The signal lead is too short - its necessary to manufacture and continually modify a hanger for the transmitter » The probe tips are too broad and are likely to create a connection problem where one did not exist before » Cheap in quality - this wouldnt last six months in a working shop » A short to power cannot be tracked » High-impedance - does not load the suspect circuit and will not identify a soft or intermittent fault » Self-piercing probes are dangerous when applied to modern vehicles - the use of these leads on the wrong circuit will definitely create a problem where one did not exist before DIY-types and beginners will probably like this device just fine, but experienced professionals will be disappointed.

> 24 hourI was skeptical paying this much, but when my interior lights in my Cayenne suddenly quit, I couldnt find the problem. This tool pinpointed the problem within a couple minutes, no joke. Very much a tool thats worth the money.

> 24 hourFord mechanic and this tool helped locate a broken wire in a body harness loom. Very easy to use. Be careful about shoving the probe into harnesses. Can pop off easily and this happened to me. My fault but can get pretty stressful thinking you broke a tool of this price

> 24 hourWorked fantastic found open circuit in my tahoe 4wd system that I have been trying to find for weeks. Only issue was FedEx shipping 2 times they reported unable to deliver because business was closed, my house is not a business and I was home both times. Took at least 6 calls to FedEx to get it delivered.
