> 24 hourBy reversing the angle, and having the L bracket go up the back of the mantel, it holds it very solidly and very hidden. Its a much easier way to install compared to the drilling of many holes in the back of a mantel, and trying to secure it. Just get the L brackets in a couple of studs

> 24 hourWhen you unpackage these brackets and line them up, it is easy to see they are off from 90 degrees. Some are slightly acute, some are slightly obtuse (less than a couple degrees, but enough to possibly make a difference). Overall good, but the QA needs to improve a bit.

> 24 hourI bought these brackets to install shelves in a basement workshop. They have a nice textured, matte black finish. The corners are beveled and the mounting holes are countersunk for flat head screws. The brackets come with hardware for either drywall or wood mounting. I elected to use slightly larger diameter #10 screws (largest size that will fit in the bracket holes) to mount them to my plywood wall. The brackets come well packed with individual sleeves to protect against shipping damage. If I need more, I would not hesitate to buy again.

> 24 hourI remodeled my Kitchen and envisioned an area of floating shelves instead of a dead Upper corner Cabinet. I took my measurements and started shopping for 3 floating shelves. First I compromised the size. Then was forced to increase my budget With custom built $236 estimate. But still nothing that fit perfectly as I hoped for. Finally I found these brackets and went my big box lumber store and had an 8’ (2”x10”) board cut into 30” lengths that I sanded, Stained and wax sealed. The project took 3 hours (taking away Shopping and drying time) And $60. They look just as I imagined.

> 24 hourYou never know what crap to expect when someone says its steel. But, it was. Used for decorative shelves in the kitchen. Screws included. But not the best. Broke one screwing it in. Though I used an impact screwgun and most people would suggest you drill a pilot hole first...which I did not do. So, no points off.

> 24 hourThe brackets are great. Sturdy, easy to install, and visually attractive. But the screws are pretty poor quality and break easily. Be careful when screwing in.

> 24 hourQuarter-inch shelf brackets. These brackets are strong and high quality. Special attention is made to the aesthetics: rounded corners, countersunk screw holes, properly sized color-matching screws. Shipment included a small spirit level to aid installation which will become a permanant addition to my tool box.
