Pro-Tec Classic Skate and Bike Helmet, Small, Gloss White

Im probably not as safe as in a certified helmet, but I really like this one. For years I skated parks without helmets so Im certainly much safer now.

Bought for skateboarding. Great fit. Didn’t even notice it after a while. Well built.

I bought this after reading that most Tornado deaths were due to head injury. I survived a Tornado in Jan 2012 in my basement & thank GOD i did not need a helmet. Shortly thereafter i did get a weather radio, emergency nightlights & a helmet.. I mounted a headlamp on it so as to be able to see... sorry i am not a skater so i dont think i helped any enthusiasts out with this review....

The helmet seems to be OK, but a little snug on the sides. Overall, it is a good helmet for this price.

I did as most of the previous customers stated and bought one size bigger than I normally would. It fits perfectly. I feel as if this helmet will make my head feel protected when I ride my bike.

Ordered this helmet along with a few other brands to compare. One of the other ones was certified and one was not (note that this particular helmet is not certified so it lacks the styrofoam insert). It does however have an excellent foam insert. Because it’s not certified it’s for low impact hits/crashes. I knew this when purchasing so I knew what I was getting. I’m using this for standard longboard skateboard cruising so I don’t need anything more. Whether you go with a certified helmet or not is really dependent on what you will be using the helmet for and personal preference. As soon as I tried this helmet on, I knew of the three I had ordered that this was going to be the keeper. It literally fits like a perfect sized glove on my head. So comfortable and it sits nice and low unlike many helmets that sit high on your head. As a result it looks great and you don’t look like a mushroom head. Which means you’ll be more likely to wear this helmet. Who wants to look like an extra from Space Balls? This is a really great helmet with adequate protection for what I’ll be using it for. If your going to be riding an e-board or biking this is probably not the helmet for you and you should probably consider Pro-Tec’s certified helmet which usually runs about 20 bucks more.
