Pro-Tec Classic Skate and Bike Helmet, Small, Gloss White

A good friend showed me the helmet to buy for true protection because he skates and after putting it on my sons head, I will never buy another kind of helmet!!! It’s complete protection and he explained to me how it should fit so for those who don’t know here it is: you put the helmet on top of the kids head and then just gently push it down. That’s how snag it should fit. If it’s wobbly, it’s not going to protect them. I loved Pro-Tec helmets when I was younger. They are great, light, comfortable, and mostly serve their purpose for what they are intended. I havent worn one since I was a kid, but after a few good spills on my push scooter, I decided to grab a helmet. I usually wear a Small helmet. I have a small head, 22.5 to be exact. I ordered a Medium helmet, and it turned out to be too small. If I order another one, I will get a Large, but I also might look into something with a bit more protection.

Amazing helmet Works really good when I go snowboarding.

Love the look and fit. The white color is really clean, it matches perfectly with my white JBM Elbow and Knee pads. Thankfully I have not knocked my head, so I cannot comment on the level of protection. Also came with Stickers. I like Stickers :-)

The helmet came in the Pro-Tec box but one of the large interior pads was not intact and would NOT adhere(stick) back in and stay. The only way the pad stays is if youre wearing the helmet. When I take it off, the pad falls out. The overall helmet quality is good, but my specific helmet was defective.

This is a standard Pro Tec helmet. If you cant try one on first, measure your head so you know what size to get. Mine fits perfectly and I love the matte blue finish.

I bought this after reading that most Tornado deaths were due to head injury. I survived a Tornado in Jan 2012 in my basement & thank GOD i did not need a helmet. Shortly thereafter i did get a weather radio, emergency nightlights & a helmet.. I mounted a headlamp on it so as to be able to see... sorry i am not a skater so i dont think i helped any enthusiasts out with this review....
