> 3 dayThis is the second time I ordered the same umbrella. After constantly dealing with poor quality from Umbrellas I would normally grab out of necessity when walking out a grocery store on an unexpected rainy day, I finally decided to spend a little bit more money and get a decent product. After reading tones of great reviews, I ended up getting this product from Amazon. I was so happy with it that very soon afterwards I got a second one to put in my car as well. It is compact but sturdy and the color combo on the red and black version I got is elegant. Customer support has been excellent too. I had a small issue with the cover on one of my umbrellas and customer service was quick to respond and resolve the issue. I would highly recommend this product.

Greater than one weekI live in California and bought my umbrella in 2019. Havent used it much because of the drought and pandemic. I pulled it out the other day (torrential downpour) and while closing it the cap came off the top. I reached out to the seller and within four days I had a new one! Now that is what I call customer service. The umbrella it very sturdy and know it will hold up to the wind. Dont hesitate....buy it.

> 3 dayNothings perfect, but the customer service was great. I purchased two of these: one in 2018 and one in 2019. Im writing this in March of 2023. Both worked until a couple of days ago--hows that for timing! First, one umbrella would not close--the shaft remained extended and would not collapse. The next day, the other umbrella would not fully open. The shaft would extend, but the canopy would not expand. Yesterday, I emailed the company and provided my Amazon invoices (thanks to Amazon for keeping order information available--its a life saver!). I also included a photo of the umbrellas. (TIP: it turns out they need both the order info and a photo. So, to save time, include these with your initial warranty request). After a couple of emails back and forth, I received notice today that Repel (aka Upper Echelon Products LLC) has authorized the replacement of both umbrellas. I think getting the replacement authorization within 24 hours is impressive. I call that excellent customer service. Bottom line, yes, both umbrellas developed problems. Hey, an umbrella is a mechanical item. Mechanical things dont last forever. Nothing is perfect. However, the umbrellas were problem-free for 4 - 5 years, respectively. Whats more important to me is: Will the company stand behind its product? And will it do so without making it a nightmare for the customer? If I could, Id give customer support a 10 out of 5! They were responsive and made it relatively easy. So, in this review, I am reviewing not just the product, but customer support as well. Im just passing on my experience. Hope this helps.

> 3 dayI love this umbrella. The automatic mechanism works great and it’s sturdy and folds down small. Perfect for keeping in the car.

> 3 dayIt gets so windy in downtown Boston, add in the rain and it can be a mess to walk through the area. I got tire of wasting money on cheap umbrellas from CVS that would snap and break on the same day that I bought them, leaving me out in the rain, cold, and wind. Since Im often buying everything else from Amazon, I decided to take a chance on this umbrella. I read the reviews and bought it. So far, it hasnt gotten me through one rainy and windy day without breaking so I am satisfied.

17-11-2024This is a really nice umbrella; large and it opens and closes easily. I do not consider it a travel umbrella. It is full size both open and closed and is heavy.

21-11-2024Having just moved to the Big Apple in the heart of the East Village I experienced a wondrous new force of nature called rain. We didnt have too much in the desert wasteland of Southern California. My first few days of wind and rain wreaked havoc on my puny little pocket umbrella and I certainly wasnt going to carry the mammoth golf umbrella that lives in my car because well thats how one gets yelled at in the aforementioned Big Apple. So I started doing research on umbrellas. What a rabbit hole that was. Anyway I ended up with this one, chosen because it resembled Draculas cape (setting a tone for would be muggers - he dont mess with me I just might be a vampire). It is a great great umbrella - very strong and well designed to vent wind and not flip inside out like in the funny papers. Its compact enough to not get me killed and but large enough when opened to cover me and all the bags of groceries Im walking the mean streets with. I liked it so much I ordered a second one but with stars on the inside (my, god, its full of starts) so I kind of feel like Dave in 2001 as hes going into the monolith. In fact sometimes I hear Thus Spake Zarathustra when Im using it.

> 3 dayWhen I received the umbrella, one of the first things I noticed is that the one I got, black and red colorway, was not a double canopy umbrella, contradicting what is said in the images with the product. I purchased the pink umbrella a separate time, and that one is double canopy. Im chalking this up to some false advertising, at least for this color. Unless there is actually a black and red umbrella with a double canopy, and I mistakenly got an older or different model. I was able to first use it in a rain event recently, and it was not able to hold up to the small gusts. It went inside out almost immediately, and as of now, it seems undamaged, but I dont think this umbrella will survive continuous use in that kind of environment.
