> 3 dayOf all the Dominion expansion packs, this one changes the game in the most exciting and interesting ways. We were starting to get into a rut of using the same strategies for all games until we got this pack. Having the Platinum card especially changes the potential for alternative strategies/game lengths. Super fun.

> 3 dayThe Dominion series is one of the best games Ive ever played and Im not just talking deck building games. It has spectacular re-playability because of nearly endless options, strategies, and combos yet Dominion is easy to learn and fun to play. 99% of what you need to know is clearly written right on each card. The expansions, such as Prosperity, really add a lot of new options and fun twists on the original game. All of the expansions are very appropriately titled. Prosperity is all about extreme wealth. If you like lots of points and lots of treasure Prosperity is great. The opposite expansion set is Dominion: Dark Ages in which you start out in the dark ages with little wealth and must build your way out of poverty. You will find that many games sell expansions simply to continue sales and the expansion packs just add more quantity but dont actually expand or enrich game play at all. Not so with Dominion. All of the Dominion expansions add many new dimensions and options to game play and take strategies in entirely new directions. I have yet to be let down by any Dominion set. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT YOU MUST OWN A BASE SET BEFORE BUYING AN EXPANSION. The expansions do not come with the base cards and are not playable without them so if the Dominion set you are looking at buying says Expansion you must first buy a base set. This is clearly stated on all expansion boxes. The base card set comes in the original Dominion game or you can buy the Dominion Base Cards set separately.

> 3 dayI strongly feel that Prosperity is by far the best Dominion expansion. Having the Castle Base, Intrigue Base, Seaside, Cornucopia, and this one (sorry Alchemy, you dont deserve my money!), I feel it adds the most to the game in terms of functionality and dynamics. Not only do you get the 11 cost 10 VP Colonies, 9 cost 5 TP Platinums, but you gain several 7+ purchase cost cards which adds longevity to games, which in my opinion adds enjoyment and fulfillment. Plus, Im a sucker for trash cards (which if you havent figured it out by now, trash cards are good. They reduce your Coppers and Estates when you have a deck full of Golds, Banks, and Platinums.) Cards like Forge, Expand, Bishop, Mint, and Loan almost guarantee that functionality in a random set of 10! I frequently win games with 10-15 cards in my deck because they are just the high ranking treasure and victory cards. I feel all of them (except for Alchemy) are worth buying to add to your Dominion addiction, but looking back, I would have bought everything in the following order: 1) Intrigue Base (its 1 of 2 base sets, you will need it for the treasures and victory cards in order to play the game) 2) Prosperity 3) Cornucopia 4) Seaside 5) Castle Base (but just because I rank the Castle Base last doesnt mean I dont recommend it!) As a side note, the reason I dont like Alchemy is because a lot of its cards require a special potion treasure to buy, which I foresee it being difficult to incorporate in a multi-set game. Hinterlands seems like a great expansion (due to release 11/20/11), but I would highly recommend you have Prosperity first!!!

> 3 dayThe new rules are relatively simple to learn once youve grasped the basic rules. Overall, the very next set you should buy after the base set in terms of game altering mechanics.

> 3 dayWeve played the base game for quite some time and were ready to add an expansion. This one is a lot of fun and definitely worth the investment.
