Robert Kaufman SS-101-40 Kona Solids Skinny Strips, 40 Piece, Black

Solid jelly rolls are so convenient, but these Robert Kaufman 1 1/2 strips are 1 5/8 wide. I found out after some blocks did not measure correctly. I have to trim every strip to 1 1/2. Its possible that they are assuming you will line up fabric to the v of the pink, but Ive always read that you should line up your fabric to the points of the pinked edge. If you do that, these strips measure an eighth too wide. Ill look for another brand or go back to cutting my own.

I was very disappointed with how this felt. It does not feel like cotton quilting fabric. I bought it to use in a gift. If it were going to be used in something Id be keeping, I would send it back. The label is plain. I seriously doubt that it is Robert Kaufman. But, its here. Ill use it.

quality fabric, perfectly cut - makes strip piecing a breeze...

The strips were cut accurately and should have saved me a lot of time but I HATE the pinked edges. The strips shed little dots of fabric all over everything: my cutting mat, the floor, my brand new expensive sewing machine, my clothes.... I even tried vaccuming the edges to help removing all the shedding but it didnt help. I will not be buying Kona 1 12 strips again.

Really handy to do sashing work. Consistent color and width make for easy work.

Quality fabric for quilting. These come in handy! I keep four or five colors in my stash! I will buy again!
