Robert Kaufman SS-101-40 Kona Solids Skinny Strips, 40 Piece, Black

I love the precuts. I have to be very accurate on the quilt I am sewing now. Therefore I do have to recut my strips. They are slightly larger than 11/2 inches. I only need 24 strips therefore not to bad to recut. I have used these in other quilts that was not so fussy on accuracy and they did a great job with no problem. The price was very reasonable and the quality is very good. Yes, I do recommend, just know you may have to recut for accuracy.

I saw a new pattern I wanted to make and it was a small sized quilt. Then discovered you can even purchase black in the skinny size which will be perfect for this mini quilt.

Honeybun strips are handy for many quilt patterns and with RK fabrics you can always count on the quality.

Solid jelly rolls are so convenient, but these Robert Kaufman 1 1/2 strips are 1 5/8 wide. I found out after some blocks did not measure correctly. I have to trim every strip to 1 1/2. Its possible that they are assuming you will line up fabric to the v of the pink, but Ive always read that you should line up your fabric to the points of the pinked edge. If you do that, these strips measure an eighth too wide. Ill look for another brand or go back to cutting my own.

The product material is good, but it has a lot of black lint looking things that come off the fabric when you cut it. It does the job its supposed to.
