Rockford Fosgate 8 AWG Amplifier Install Kit with Interconnect

This was the recommended kit for an amp and subwoofer I bought through amazon and the reason why is beyond me...this tiny little gauge could not handle the power being sent through my amp and I went through 5 fuses in a matter of 5 minutes....if you are hooking up the bottom of the line equipment and have a tiny little amp that provides little to no power this will handle it just fine. Im powering a 10 dual voice coil shallow depth subwoofer with a tiny 600W RMS rockford fosgate and I need a minimum of 8 gauge to make this system work properly. Im running everything at the lowest settings possible just to allow the system to work un-interrupted and prevent blowing the fuse again.

I recieved this amp wiring kit from Amazon in good time as they do with all my orders and thats numbering more than 50 in a year and a half. Most of them RF car audio products, as i keep upgrading the project to make it bigger and louder. I recently bought RFs new PBR 300x4 amp and the reviews recommended this 10 gauge kit so when it arrived i had to rip it open and play with it. Smallest gauge kit from RFs product line i have ordered but the quality is that of its big Brothers. Now i have 0,4,8 & 10 gauge kits for upgrade. the only thing i didnt like was it came with no speaker wires, i mean i have extra but still. As a matter of fact i just ordered 2 RF 12 Gauge speaker wire kits for sub boxes i am building. I wanted 10 gauge or less but RF only sells down to 10 gauge. Other 10 gauge wires here on Amazon had bad reviews so 12 gauage RF it is. Thanks Amazon for carring such a great selection of Fosgate product.

Worked as expected for installing my Rockford Fosgage P300-10 Punch Powered Loaded 10-inch subwoofer. No complaints. Better price than any of the local stereo shops or big box retailers.

All of the wire seems to be of pretty high quality. Two things worth noting: Mine came packaged with a 60A fuse, not a 40A as listed (and I dont even think youd want to run 60A of current through an 8Ga wire, check the charts, 40A is more appropriate). And the bracket for the fuse holder was broken when I removed it from the package. I am not going to bother returning this, because I figure that if it would be broken out of the box then it will probably break sooner or later down the road anyways. It seems to be of pretty flimsy build, or possibly defective material. Thats why I took a star off.
