Rockford Fosgate 8 AWG Amplifier Install Kit with Interconnect

> 3 dayNice quality kit, but red wire couldnt even make it from the battery to under the passenger seat in my mini pickup truck. It would have if I had a straight shot, but I did not. I had to run it through the drivers side firewall. I used most of the ground wire to give it the extra 3 feet I needed. Kit came with no 12GA connectors at all, so I had to solder the wires together and used a house wire nut where it connected to the subwoofer harness. There were crimp connectors included for blue/white wire, so its odd there were no 12GA connectors. For this much money, I would have expected to have more than enough wire and plenty of connectors.

> 3 dayReally surprised this failed to provide all the crimp connectors needed for installation. For some reason they provide some never needed for this kit. Had to use my own 8 gauge ends for proper install

> 3 dayVery happy with this setup. I used it to connect a 2 12-inch Rockford sub up and it was no trouble at all. The only complaint I had was that the housing that is supposed to hold the fuse to the car is easily breakable. I wound up breaking it before I even got the chance to put it in, but I had some clips that where even better than the case so I used those.

> 3 dayI bought this kit out of convenience, thinking it would be quicker and easier to get a good quality kit to install the amp. An added incentive was a one-year extension of my amps warranty for using this kit. The wire quality seemed to be just fine, and I didnt have a problem with the fuse holder. The quality of the wire connectors didnt seem to be that good, and the zip-ties broke from tightening them with just one hand. I installed the amp in the back of a Dodge Durango, and even with careful running of the wires, they came up about 5 short of being able to connect to the head unit, and no where near connecting to the battery. I had to go to the store and buy 4ga wire, RCA extensions, and wire for the remote amp turn on. Given the extra cost involved, I could have just gone to the store and bought what I needed in the first place for less money. If your run from the battery to your amp, and head-unit to amp is less than say 10, you should be fine.

Greater than one weekThis kit was on point and had everything you need to connect your subwoofer to your factory radio. Because I snaked my battery cable through the engine compartment and through the outside of the car, 17 ft of cable was a tight fit. I could’ve used an extra 3ft to make it perfect. Otherwise the connections are top of the line and am very satisfied. Install done on 2018 VW Tiguan
