I have to say that this is the best keyboard I have ever owned by far. Better than all my friends keyboards as well. Everything about it is awesome except for one thing, and that is that the keys lettering should have been clear so that the rgb would light them up. It is disappointing that they got so much right to the point that I do not want to replace the keycaps, but that leaves me with hard to see symbols at night, hence the 4 stars. If they had keycaps in this color combo with clear lettering I would immediately give this 5 stars. The keyboard feels premium. While not adjustable for incline, I find it to be an extremely comfortable angle. The weight is amazing. Very heavy, and stays put while in use as the rubberized feet are very grippy. The switches and keycaps along with the construction create a typing experience on par with a custom keyboard that would cost twice as much to build by hand. The stabilizers require nothing. It is an extremely quiet keyboard stock. I do like the switches, and was hesitant to replace them as I had originally intended when ordering (facilitated by this being hot swappable), but I did end up buying clicky switches as thats my preference. The switches it came with almost convinced me no to though. Rgb works flawlessly out of the box with no need in my mind for an application on the PC, wireless and wired modes all work great (though Ive had better range via 2.4ghz on other keyboards). The ease of use of the bluetooth shines here, switching between 3 different devices with a simple button press. Battery lasts about one or two computer sessions, so somewhere around 8 hours or more for me.

Right from the unboxing, you get the feeling of a premium product without the pricetag to match. Beautiful construction and high quality printing. Just a gorgeous little keyboard. I work from home and I have a Mac, PC, and Chromebook side by side. I also like to play PC games, so I was intrigued to try using one keyboard across my 3 operating systems. The wireless USB receiver went into the Mac, the USB cable went into the PC, and I set up the keyboard via Bluetooth on the Chromebook. Needless to say, it worked flawlessly. The biggest issue was remembering which hotkey connected to the correct platform. I started to miss my F key row after awhile simply from using them so much every day, so I dont think this setup is ideal for me but hey, its possible if thats what youre looking to do. As for gaming, its very responsive and I didnt enter any ghosting or missed inputs. The thock of each keystroke was satisfying to the ears and I swear I was typing faster at the end of the day. I hadnt tried any of the mechanical keyboards from Royalaxe, but Im definitely looking forward to seeing what else they put out.

With any compact keyboard, there are some things one has to get used to. These arent negatives per se, but worth noting. Ill get those out of the way first. 1. Due to the switches in the upper right corner, the backspace key is a single key width. Takes some real getting used to! 2. If youre accustomed to laptop-style compact keyboards with the arrow keys being designed to fit in a single row, you may find yourself inadvertently hitting the up arrow on occasion, as it takes up room where youd ordinarily expect more shift key. 3. Similarly, as there is an additional column immediately to the right of the normal set of keys. If your muscle memory is trained to go all the way to the right to hit return/enter, you may miss it. THANKFULLY, they thoughtfully put a function key there, which does nothing on its own. Now, onto the meat and potatoes of the review. I picked this keyboard up as I have been using a 60% keyboard as my daily driver for a while now, and it has a compromise that drives me crazy. The /? key pulls double duty as the up arrow key. As someone who codes, having to use a function key to swap between these two uses results in a lot of mistakes on my part. The R68 is what is called a 65%, which gives that extra column and offers enough room for separate arrow keys. What a relief! But its not just about the layout. This keyboard has an amazing feel. The Gateron yellow switches are smooth and quiet. They even included a few extra in the box, along with tools for swapping them and the key caps. The key caps themselves are PBT, with a great feel to them and a nice retro shape. Really complements the brown color scheme. The spacebar is often seen as a weak spot on more affordable mechanical keyboards. This one is incredibly stable. No matter where your thumb strikes it, it will register, and it stays flat and level throughout the entire key press, even from the edges. The dual function keys allow for the full array of F keys, as well as shortcut keys for adjusting volume, controlling media, etc. The angle of the keyboard is not adjustable, but its a nice one. Not too high, not too low. And I love the wireless mode knob. Just a fun aesthetic touch but its so enjoyable to turn I worry I might wear it out! All in all this is a great keyboard, but with a price point that makes it even more appealing, considering the quality.

I am writing this review with this keyboard specifically. Things of note - The backspace key is 1U. This took me surprisingly little time to get used to. I think it helps that the controls for the keyboard are next to it so that even if you miss the key, you wont accidentally hit something else. They could have squeezed another U in there if they had made the controls smaller. There is no adjustment for tilt, it is pretty aggressive out of the box, but I find that this is very comfortable to type on. Ive been using this keyboard for work for the past two days and have had no issues. Bluetooth, 2.4Ghz, and wired connectivity work just as you expect them to work. NKRO in wired and wireless modes. North facing LEDs Some XDA like profile, very easy to type on. Double-shot keycaps. These are Gateron yellow switches, but they have been pre lubed. The stabs have been lubed as well. This is the nicest sounding sub 70 dollar keyboard I have used in a long time. The case is plastic, but it is a thicc plastic. Has a good thocc. They include a plastic keyboard cover, which I think was more for shipping than for use afterwards, but it works when you want to have a snack at the desk without worrying about crumbs. Also included is a purple color matching USB C cable. I wish it had a better battery indicator. With my machine (Windows 11) it seems to report battery levels, but they are a bit erratic when lower than 10%. The only physical level indicator on the keyboard itself is a low battery indicator on the keyboard. The rotating selector switch is nice, but it is a bit crunchy. It almost has extra detents that are close to the selections that you would make. I found that if you are close to your selection, it still works. There is a small slot on the keyboard for storing the 2.4Ghz dongle, which I LOVE. The software for this machine, which can be found on the mfg website, has all of the features I would want. You can adjust the 2.4 and BT sleep settings independently from each other (LED sleep, and keyboard sleep) You can be more specific on the LED colors within the software as well. It does request a firewall exception, however I have not looked into it. It does offer update capabilities for keyboard firmware and software (neither available at the time of this review) Most keyboard that I get that are sub 80 dollars usually make me want to open them up within a few hours of receiving them to mod and tinker. I havent gotten the urge to open this one at all. If there were a better device level battery indicator, a bit more room for adjustment for tilt, and better windows reporting of battery, I would give 5 stars.

This has everything I need, good pre-lubed linear stock, good stabilizers, height is perfect, hot-swappable. I didn’t need to mod anything put of the box, only slap in a new set of KDA keycaps and it’s just as good as other expansive keyboards that I own. 10/10

This is a cool keyboard! It has different rainbow light settings and is adaptable for Mac or windows. It isn’t a loud click which I like. It was very well packaged. The keys are super comfortable and have a nice texture. This keyboard is also not light, it is quite heavy!

OK, this is the best stock keyboard experience ruined by one HUGE flaw. Who in the right mind would think the backspace key is less important than every other keys or a nob? I love this keyboard, the look, the switches, the keycap, the battery life, the super stable wireless connection in both 2.4 G and bluetooth, the two fn keys to expand fast reach for media controls! EVERYTHING expect the STUPID backspace key, which is a 1u key. And I just couldnt get used to it after two weeks of using it. This is a serious design oversight. The nob was great and all, but you dont sacrifice the backspace key for it! A great stock keyboard ruined by a glamorous flaw. Thus I had to return it. So close, I was so close to find the perfect keyboard. If you dont mind the small backspace key, then buy it, you wont regret it.

I really like how small this keyboard is. It takes up, maybe a third of the space my last keyboard took up. I like that it doesnt have the number pad, which I never used. The button presses are really satisfying. Its a soft squish button, but it also lets you know the button was pressed. The lighting effects are a lot of fun! So many to choose from! If you dont like one, you can switch to another and find one that you like.

I am not one to write reviews, but this keyboard is amazing! I work from home and have gone through at least 3 high end keyboards that all stop working after a few weeks. I have only had this keyboard for about a month, but as soon as I took it out of the box I could tell it was great quality. Its a very well made and sturdy keyboard I enjoy using from my 9-5
