For a $300 product, terrible packaging. It came in a bag.. seriously, no protective packing or anything, just a bag tied at the top. Even at the lowest setting to use for very fine/mild polishing or even for glaze, the pad rotates much too aggressively. I was expecting this product to have a much wider range in polishing.

I’ve had this polisher for about 6 months so far and I’ve put it through many paint corrections. This is simply a fantastic DA machine. I’ve used this for a show car that went to the 70th anniversary AutoRama in Detroit at the beginning of 2023 and the car got first place in the pro touring class. This little Rupes Mini Bigfoot did the trick and made the job turn out perfect. Quality product that I’d absolutely recommend!

When I initially purchased this as part of my arsenal almost 2 years ago, I thought I was gaining all the benefits from using a top-tier machine. While it worked for a majority of jobs, the power cord was a tremendous headache and no matter how well I wrapped it after every use, it would still coil itself into small bunches. After the second year, I would have to manually contort the strain relief just to keep it operational. Once I called Rupes to try and troubleshoot my problem, they suggested I send it to their distribution center for a diagnostic test of $129, which doesnt include parts and labor. Really, guys? A diagnostic fee that roughly equates to replacing another machine? Shortly thereafter, I figured out that the wiring had short-circuited and required a soldering job with an aftermarket power cord. The band-aid treatment lasted no more than two weeks before the machine completely kicked tires. Thanks for nothing, Rupes. A tremendous waste of time and money. Im now exclusive to Flex.

Excellent product and the quality goes in when you buy Rupes. I love this machine. It truly is a game changer. Light weight, easy to use, and balanced to perfection. The size of the machine and pad is just what I was looking for. This has to be a machine in your tool kit, if your are serious about doing a excellent job.

Polisher itself is awesome 5/5, but after first use the backing plate needs to be replaced

I cannot in good conscious give this 5 stars. Minus 1 star-lowest rpm is still way too fast for working in tight areas. Minus 1 star-rpm sensing does not work properly on my unit. Example, I am cutting and polishing a 18 subwoofer box painted black with clearcoat. The customer wanted the 1 recess lip polished like glass. Because of the small area the polisher would occasionally come off the lip, when it does, it would cause the pad to blowout because of high rpm. This is on setting 1. I encountered similar problems applying Sealant to our new N-Line Sonatas bumpers. Lots of weird sharp shapes. I have used lots of buffers in my time, this one was a real disappointment. I will give it 3 stars though. It has the best name, Mini-Bigfoot!

Best small 3” buffer I’ve ever used. Worth every penny as Rupes makes the best machines. Combined with their polishing system you can’t go wrong. Low vibration, good speed control.
