> 3 dayTurned out this was unnecessary for my application (water purification in Puerto Rico). I thought this would help eliminate the thicker particles but it turns out that this will just reduce your water pressure with no noticeable improvement in water quality. Luckily it wasnt terribly expensive so I just gave it to a friend who lives in a location with rougher water.

> 3 dayAll well water systems with possibility of sand or other particle intrusion should be fitted with one of these. These simple and easy to clean filters will protect any water treatment equipment and plumbing systems from damage...especially here in Florida where many wells have problems with sand or rust flakes from the well casing. I use them on all of my well water installations.

> 3 dayI replaced the housing because of a small leak in the discharge side of pvc joint. I’m using this as a pre filter for my sediment filtration system. This spindown filter works great. I have an automatic valve on this filter that cleans itself every day.

> 3 dayThis is easily the best value for spin down filters. Ive had it installed for a few months now and it has worked perfectly. I flush it about once a month. No leaks or cracks. I would highly recommend this.

> 3 dayThe 100 mesh filter is a little much for irrigation, youd be better with 40 or 60 mesh.

> 3 dayFilters good but much to small for whole house application raised my pump amps by around 2 amps.

> 3 dayNext time I would get less restrictive mesh screen. Water pressure is too low.
