> 3 dayMuch better work area light than the P780. This lamp (P727) has multiple configurations and hanging options and is much brighter. However, the P780 feels much sturdier (thicker plastic parts) and has a better handle. The hanging options (hooks/eyelets) on the P727 do not feel strong or reliable and there is no handle to carry the lamp. Still, due to the versatility of this lamp and the increased light output, I would consider this the better work area light. Note: The P780 is still a fine night light or camping light and the P720 is a very bright (brightest of these three) spot/work area light.

> 3 dayI bought this instead of the Ryobi P720 (and similar) because of the smaller spaces I would use a light like this for. Its perfect for auto repairs. Battery lasts a long time too. I am pleased with my purchase!

> 3 dayMy son has a stable of Ryobi tools including this one which caused me to consider getting this as I needed a light, and have retired my 15 yo Bosch cordless drill. After reading reviews of other lights, and of other tool platforms I was perhaps not surprised to learn that more money doesnt necessarily buy quality. I theorize that their greedy CEOs and beancounters have outsourced too much, perhaps even the design of their cordless tools. Ryobi, being a Japanese company likely has better design, and quality control even tho products are built in China. OK, anyway I used my sons light working under his house, and liked it. Using mine since, I still like it. It is stable, flexible, and with the 4aH battery, lasts a long time. Its a great work light.
