Purchased a set of these bearings for 3D print related projects that require 608 bearings. All of my applications would never put real stresses on these bearings as a skate would, so I cannot review this as its official intended purpose. For my purpose, I have zero issues. So far, I have printed out a filament spool holder and a filament guide. The bearings are smooth. With the set I received, do not have any issues with them being too stiff or too slick as far as ease to roll.

They work. Theyre decent quality but from what I could tell, not for high precision applications. The center bore wasnt always exactly centered and several spun rough but did work and will be sufficient for my needs. Id guess these were pulled from old equipment as many of the ones I received showed signs of previous external wear. I also had to clean these up as they were sticky to the touch, smelled awful and were initially very difficult to spin.I soaked half in Mineral Spirits and the other half in Acetone. Both methods seemed to clean these up really well and they all spun freely after cleaning. Ill likely repack with better grease when Im ready to use these. For my project, im more interested in lowest possible resistance and not concerned with speed or

They seem to be gritty when turned.

Some bearings roll smoother than others. Most of them are pretty stiff but you can oil them for some decrease in friction. The plus is the diametric tolerances are pretty good according to my calipers. OD 22 +.04 -.04, ID 8 +.03 -.05 which is great and they work great for my low speed purposes

Everything is great as far as value for the money and thickness. One thing that could improve is the movement. Doesn’t spin as easy as I thought it would. But I’m also not a pro when it comes to bearings.

Pros: - Cheap - Comes with shipping oil to keep out any grit/grime Cons: - The QC is awful I purchased two packs of these to use for a project and found that 10 of the 40 bearings had issues. Many were minor such as small dents/dings in the shields, but there were a few where the entire inner or outer bearing piece has been chewed to bits. If youre going to buy these, make sure you buy extras since about a quarter of them might be faulty. Since this was fulfilled by Amazon, Im unable to contact the seller for replacements and dont want to return the rest. Still three stars though, you get what you pay for.

You’re probably looking at these because they have a good price point, which they do. And that really low price point is the only reason they’re not even more lowly rated. The bearings come heavily coated with grease - enough that it actually hinders rotation. It seems like this is done because it also hides imperfections in the bearings. After clearing the bearings they rotate much more freely, but have a definite wobble to some of them. I compare them to a 20 year old set of real ABEC 7 bearings in my rollerblades and these are definitely not ABEC 7. So, if you’re looking for some bearings for a robotics project where they’re on an idler pulley, these are fine. But if you think you’re gonna drop these into a board or skates, keep looking.
