I love the eggs, tiny caterpillars and chryslis stages in this life cycle compared to others. My preschoolers love setting up the pieces in order.

I bought this for my pre-k and 1st grader and within 24 hours the chrysalis had become separated from the tree branch. I had really hoped it would held up longer than that.

I purchased this item to use in a kindergarten classroom. They have passed through the hands of eighteen 5 year olds multiple times. The pieces have held up very well. They are great quality and very lifelike. My students have enjoyed having them as a visual aid during our butterfly lessons.

I ordered these to go along with our Butterfly Unit Study. We havent done the study just yet so these pieces are still in the package. When my son has his homeschool science co-op report to do mid April, instead of taking the actual caterpillar or crysalis, for fear of damanging them, Im going to have him take these. I think the report will go very well. I plan on getting a few more life cycle of... things in the future.
