These were pretty loud and the flashlight very bright. Based on some reviews I tested them when the package was delivered and all but two worked. My advice is to test before gifting and test periodically to make sure theyre still in working condition. Its possible the batteries in those two are dead as the flashlights do not work either, but I havent had the time to replace them to test this theory.

I have not needed to use mine, but the sound is very load. It will definitely attract attention.

Only thing I dont like is how easy the pin comes out. It can easily get caught and pulled. Esp in a purse/bag. Otherwise works good.
