> 24 houri bought this for my older daughter to use. I designated her the Toy Checker@ for our family when the baby was born. She can check toys for safety and we talk about whether things are safe. It made her feel involved and now that baby is 10 months (and big sister is 4 yrs), Ill say that she is a terrific big sister who loves the baby & helps out about as much as a parent could possibly expect.

> 24 hourIf youre a teacher, this is for YOU! Especially as a Toddler teacher. Your Supervisors at school will be impressed that you took the initiative to be safety conscious around children who like to put small objects in their mouths. This, of course, is helpful to new parents who fear things will be choked on. If it fits in the large opening at the top of the tube, then its a choking hazard.

> 24 hourI sent this to my daughter who was struggling with keeping her older childs small items away from her baby who suddenly wants everything in his mouth. She is so happy to not be guessing anymore!

> 24 hourMy husband was very concerned about choking hazard-sized toys, so we bought this to test toys as they come into our house. I had heard that the toilet paper tube test was not accurate because it is a bigger diameter than an actual tester. We own toys marketed for ages 1-3 which fit through a toilet paper tube but which do not fit through this tester, so Im glad we got this to test accurately.

> 24 hourHighly recommend. It is sometimes a surprise what fits in the tube and could be a choking hazard for little ones. Safety items are always a good baby gift.

> 24 hourSave your money. I thought this was good to have in a playgroup centre but if this is the test it should be more stringent. It says not to compress the item but the esophagous applies pressure and if you put a grape in it does not fill the tube but would still choke an infant. Save your money and use some common sense

> 24 hourThe tester itself is fine, although I dont know for sure since there were was no informational insert included with it...I was a bit annoyed that there was no printed information included (i.e. official directions for proper use for determining safe/unsafe objects and for which ages??)...the product is kind of pointless unless you know for sure that you are using it correctly. I would imagine the throat of a 6 month old and the throat of a 3 year old are different sizes in diameter....so yea...information about the product and its proper use would have been nice!
