Great for line art, different sizes and types of tips. Love it.

First off let me begin by saying this product is good and most of this review is based on my own personal taste. That being said the pens work great very little blead effect though the ink did flow a little quick so some experience with pen work is going to be needed. The feel of the pen is the weakest part for me it just seems like a lackadaisical design and has a cheap feel to it...I loved the nib set good variation with lots of effects possible I wish the shell of the pen was more asthesticly pleasing other than that great starter pens at a good price.

Oh my goodness, I am in love with these pens. They are wonderful. I dont like writing with any other pens now that I am used to these. They do run out quicker than I would have liked, but I do write quite a bit, so it could be just me. I am sure I will order more in future.

The variety of sizes are a plus and I really enjoy using 003 when working small, as I do when I draw designs on bookmarks that I may or may not paint later, and I don’t have to worry about them smearing when I add water color.

!!Update May 23, 2020!!: Forget everything nice I had to say, these pens are utter garbage. I spent over 30 min working on a drawing expecting them to hold up from the results of the test I conducted. The thickest pen bled EVERYWHERE when I applied the watercolor which of course ruined my artwork. Do NOT buy these pens if you intend to apply anything wet with it. If these are counterfeit pens they need to be taken off AMAZON! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Sadly, the review would have gotten at least a 3 star if I had received all the different types of pens promised in the package. Instead, I received 2 of the 05 (or the .45mm) instead of receiving the Pigma Brush. (Edit 5/18/2020: 005 (finest tip) no longer works after a few uses. The tip was so delicate it receded back into the pen!) I worked a test and the results came out so minimal that it wont show on camera. So theres no real point in posting the pictures (I did anyways just to show I did it) here since you cant really tell the outcome unless you were up close and personal. I put the Pigma .45mm pen up against the Sharpie Ultra Fine Point pen. Rightfully so because I was going to retire the Sharpie for more professional art pens. First test was the instant smudge test. I drew one squiggly line for each and immediately scrubbed my finger over the top of the Pigma first. Then with a separate finger scrubbed the Sharpie. The Pigma smudged while the Sharpie stayed in place. Sharpie wins. Second test was a one min smudge. Same rules applied I just left the ink to sit for one min before scrubbing it. Sharpie won that one too by a hair. Next was the wet test. For me this was the most important because Im going to be using watercolor. Pigma did bleed slightly and fade while the Sharpie bled a tiny tiny bit but did not fade. Yikes. While Im not planning to immediately throw these out and I still consider them to be usable I am somewhat disappointed. Lucky for me I paid only $10 for these on sale but if they cant out perform Sharpie I wont be buying these again. I cant say these are fake because Ive never owned a Pigma brand item before. I will say however that these are very nice to have with the different sizes it gives my art that extra pop and depth Ive been craving.

I bought these to try my hand at zentangle and these were recommended. I love the different sizes and since any kind of art using pens is new to me, I had no idea there was such a huge range. The ink flows consistently and no bleed through. I intend to buy more in the future. These are also great for journaling since my handwriting tends to be very small.

I had gotten some illustration pens as a Christmas gift a couple years back, and without too much use, they ended up running dry. I was finishing up a project and I needed new ones that would work. These are at a good price level, its a pack of multiple sized micro-tips and I figured Id try them out - if they didnt work, not too much down the drain. Well! These exceeded every single bit of expectation I had for their ink flow, the pen tips and the overall quality of the pens. Number one, you get SIX different sized microtips, a graphic tip which is good for filling in and a brush tip that I absolutely LOVE. Secondly, the ink pigmentation, strength and quality; the color of the ink is nice and dark black, not an off black color that dries gray, the strength of the ink and quality is way beyond that of my former pens. It doesnt bleed beyond the space of the tip, nor have I managed to make it bleed through any paper and making fine dots with the smallest pen tip is super easy. I wanted to try these out on other surfaces besides paper (I have a bit of a thing for drawing on my hands) and much like any other ink, on skin it will smear a bit unless dried out with alcohol and dabbed dry, but on some porous plastics, when left to dry it will hold awesomely. What else can I say about these? Theyre awesome and extremely useful. Ill see after a year or two how good the ink holds up, I suspect theyll still be kicking strong.

I have used these pens in the past and know that they are good quality and do a nice job, but the package I ordered arrived with 7 pens instead of the 10 that it was supposed to have. I dont know where things went wrong, but somewhere along the way, the package of pens was opened and three were removed. Im disappointed because I was looking forward to using them on a new project - that will have to wait until new set arrives. Hopefully this time somebody in quality control will make sure that all the pens are accounted for.

These are my very favorite pens for journaling, doodling, and doing Zentangle. I love the different point sizes in this set!
