I love the micron pens! This was my first set of microns. Previously I had only used Steadler technical pens. These are much more affordable which is why I decided to give them a try. They were great! I especially loved the Graphic and the Brush pens. The Graphic pen felt like I was writing with a Sharpie. This Brush pen was my first pen ever with that type of tip, and so I really didnt know the best way to use it. I use the pens mostly for drawing my Zentangle inspired artwork, and found the Brush Micron made quick work of filling in any areas where I wanted a solid black coverage. I was sad to find that the Brush pen did not last nearly as long as the others. Ive got another set in my shopping cart so I dont forget to buy them again on my next order!

I like these pens, but two of them (08 and sharpy-like one) ran out of ink with almost no usage.

With eight pens and different nib sizes and tip styles, it satisfies my insatiable need and curiosity to effortlessly scribble notes and make ever-lasting stick figures on the back of envelopes or fine writing papers. All while giving me a budget-friendly choice of quality ink writing instruments.

These markers deliver precision lines without feathering or bleed-through on marker & Tomoe River paper. They work better than Sharpie ultra fine markers when tracing intricate designs onto waterproof transparent sticky notes. Im also glad that this set includes Graphic & Brush-tip markers; I look forward to getting more acquainted with both feel & function of these specialty markers.

Really Great Quality for inking drawing. Theres a little smug when dry after coloring applied w/marker but overall a Great Quality w/inking. Allow time to dry. Purchased 2x.

My high schooler needed these for her 2nd year drawing class. They have been working out very well for her art projects. I wouldnt say they are exactly for beginners as she was very specific in what she needed for supplies. I think they are more for intermediate users.

I got the package, and immediately opened it. Of course, I tested all of them, and they all perform fantastically. All except the Graphic 1 pen. It lasted a few minutes, and then was completely dry. Its currently resting upside down, hoping to bring some life back into it, but I have little hope.

I have tried many inking tools over the years, the Hunt 102 Crowquill, a Series 7 #2 watercolor brush, but Micron fineliners have become my go-to pens. My other tools of the trade are my Pentel Fude brush pens. I started my artist career as many others have, using a number 2 pencil and a ballpoint pen. The Micron .01 and .005 give me the fine lines I need for the fine details in my work. The Micron .005 and .003 also work well for cross-hatching. For anyone getting started, I would recommend a Staedtler 2mm lead holder with the HB and 4H lead for penciling. I would recommend using this pack of Microns and the Pentel Fude Extra Fine point for inking. It should be noted that Microns delicate tip can break under too much pressure, and like with all inking tools, they work best with Bristol board smooth tooth paper.

These are the best pens I have found for any application that needs waterproof, archival quality ink. I use them for drawing and outlining before using watercolors because they dont bleed when the paint is applied. I always try to catch them on sale, but even at full price they are a good value!
