> 3 dayI used a Samsonite Xenon 2 for several years as my every day carry bag. I carry laptops, tablets, a 15 USB display, hordes of cables, flash drives, etc. with me in my bag. The Xenon 2s velcro was becoming a bit worn, but it did still work. It was faily bulging with stuff, however. The Xenon 3.0 let me carry all the same stuff, but no longer looks or feels bulky or overloaded. There is more room in the bag, though I am not sure how they managed it. The bag also feels more comfortable on my back when carrying using both straps. The Xenon 2 was more comfortable carried by a single strap. The upper front pocket is larger, has a larger opening, and the laptop/tablet area is improved as well. Instead of a mesh pouch for the tablet, there is a dedicated sleeve area, along with a slot for a stylus. The Velcro is on a longer strap, but is overall a smaller velcro area, which I assume will allow it to resist the deterioration I saw in the Xenon 2. Samsonite retained the dual can holder pockets on the sides, and made the front bottom pocket section easier to organize. A clear evolution in the line. Thrilled by this new bag! UPDATE! (Quality flaws, reducing rating from 5 stars to three!) After less than a year, the handle is now falling apart. Very disappointed. Love the spacious interior, and I am still carrying via the back straps, but I really liked the handle and am quite unhappy that the durability of such an obvious high use item was so poor. 2nd Update! Samsonite support was contacted and they had me ship the bag to them for evaluation and possible repair. They did end up repairing the handle and sent the bag back to me, but I had to pay shipping to the Samsonite facility. I could have dropped it off at one of their facilities, but none were within 50 miles. That said, the handle was repaired. It doesnt seem appreciably stronger than before, so I suspect if would ultimately fail in the same manner over time. I did begin using the bag again, and after about two weeks, the main zipper began to fail. So, despite the adequate support, I am leaving the rating at 3 stars. While it is an excellent bag, thats two failures within a year, and I didnt feel like spending the money to send it again for repair. I just bought a new backpack from a different maker.

> 3 dayI ordered in the SMALLEST size instead of a purse to use as a personal item allowed on airlines in addition to your carryon. The description of size is correct. It is 15.5 x 10.5 x 5. I can fit my Dell Inspiron 13 (11.6 x 8.5 laptop) in the laptop compartment with room to spare even in a protective case and with the power cord. The middle compartment has a slot for a tablet and/or a folder of documents, and enough space for the quart size container of liquids you have to pull out for TSA and a rolled up rain jacket. There is a net slot in which I can place a USB hub and mouse and other cables. The front compartment has 2 pen slots and 2 other slots - the smaller slot holds my LG earbud case and the larger my cellphone when in transit. There is a zippered compartment on the opposite side in which a US passport in an RFID sleeve fits perfectly. There are also slots for wat appears to be credit cards which I do not use for that purpose. I use them for other incidentals. This bag serves me better than a travel purse and it frees up my carryon for other essentials. It makes the TSA security process go smoothly since I only have to open this bag and not my carryon. The bag is well-padded and comfortable to carry and frankly the shoulder straps are beefier than they need to be adding to the bulkiness. I love the slot in the back that allows me to slip the bag over the extended handle of my carryon. There are 3 things that prevents this item getting a 5-star. 1. There is NO WATER BOTTLE HOLDER. I think this is a big oversight on the part of Samsonite. Who doesnt carry water? Putting a cold water bottle that has condensation on the outside is not good to put inside this pack with electronics. 2. The zipper tabs are not designed to install a security device. In crowded subways, public transit etc, a simple security lock is a good deterrent for opportunist pick pockets. 3. Unlike the larger models of this bag, the laptop compartment does not open fully to lie flat in order to go through a TSA scanner which would avoid having to remove your laptop and tablet for scanning. #2 and #3 are not barn burners, but the lack of water bottle holder is. I have a waist pack that does have a bottle holder but I hate having to wear it in addition to this pack, so I am trying to figure out a way I can attach one to the side of the bag.
