Item seems to be performing as described... Boot speed increase over mechanical drive is phenomenal!

My IT guy from work installed this on my 8 year old personal laptop for me and it works great now. I dont know anything technical about it except it works like a new laptop.

I want to start off by saying Thank You Samsung for the Data Migration software, I had no idea it existed until my SSD actually arrived. I was installing the SSD while reading the reviews & everyone mentioned how the software made it easier to transfer OS which was the one of the main reasons why I purchased the 1TB version so I didn’t have to worry about my older ADATA 256GB OS SSD filling up. The transfer itself took about 1-2 minutes & after a restart the new drive was ready to use. Overall the experience was buttery smooth & way better than expected

This hasnt happened before, but here we go... less than a year old, just 1.4tb written, read errors left and right. This is not what I expected from Samsung.

Dot expect it to work flawlessly with Mac platforms. Returned it. Great for PC

In both cases, the drive would show up and then have issues. For the first one, I did a quick format and then started writing to it. Once I had around 150GB on it, it started failing with write errors and then would disappear untill a reboot. For the second, I tried a full format format and that errored out causing the drive to vanish permanently. Id guess the problem is less Samsung and more Amazon, since they keep shipping the drive in a bag instead of a box. Who knows how much damage it takes in transit.

Samsung Migrate software makes it very easy to set up for Windows operation.
