    Is 2TB a need, absolutely not. You can easily get away with a 1TB SSD but with black friday sales its hard to turn down an extra TB.

    I purchased one of these to replace the Intel Optane M.2 that came with my Aurora R7, and holy moly was that worthwhile. Not only did swapping out the Optane memory solve several problems Id been having with boots/slowdowns, but the speed of the 970 EVO Plus is absolutely blazing.

    Excellent. Hoping that my laptop provides enough ventilation or air circulation to cool it down. I would highly recommend a USB C to M.2 NVMe enclosure reader/external adapter to go along with this. I had to reinstall the operating system since cloning my previous hard drive proved to be much more complex than I had expected. However, I was able to clone it and partition it as I wanted (SSDs do not necessarily need partitions, unlike HDDs).
