> 24 hourThis is now my fourth M.2 Samsung SSD in 970 EVO and 980 Pro models, all 2 TB, 2 in a laptop and 2 in a gaming tower. Love them. They read and write fast, dont seem to overheat or cause my case temps to raise more than usual, and Ive never had a failure of any kind.

> 24 hourWhats to say. I put it in and after going thru a few formatting procedures, (which werent outlined by the instructions) I now have huge storage. Just what I wanted. Not sure of the speed. Doesnt matter.

> 24 hourI had one of these in my gaming laptop and it was great. For my more stout gaming rig I went with the rocket q4 because they had slightly better read/write speeds.. and well.. regretted my purchase within 6 or so months. The benchmark speeds from day 1 were awful and no amount of tweaking with their software could fix it. The biggest issue is for whatever reason the MBR kept getting corrupt (sabrent kept saying it was a software problem and not a hardware problem and refused to warranty it) and locked the computer up. That meant every couple weeks or so I needed to reformat the drive, reinstall windows completely from a boot drive (because windows couldnt fix the problem on its own). Which meant i lost all my data as well (mostly games that I had to re-download, and partly because i was lazy and didnt connect my sata backup up, but still frustrating either way). I decided to go with this drive again for the rig and it was night and day different. Benchmarks were way better, faster boot, and havent had to reinstall windows again! Knew I should have went with this to begin with.

> 24 hourThis was super easy to install in my PS5. The only trick was sliding the cover off the PS5, which I watched a video to make sure I pulled in the correct direction to make sure I didnt break any tabs or anything. Other than that, its one screw to open the very obvious expansion port cover, then you pop the stick in and move another screw to hold it in place. Sony clearly intends for people to make this one simple surgery on their system; everything else is hidden from view behind other panels. When I turned the PS5 on, it recognized and formatted the new hard drive, and it had 1.01TB storage on it.

> 24 hourI bought this drive to install in my PS5 as I was out of space. It was very easy to install. Just lookup a video online on how to do it if youre unsure. It works perfectly for storing games on.

> 24 hourFYI if Running Intel 10th Gen Processors this will not run at its full speed potential. You need an 11th gen Intel chip or newer to take full advantage of PCI-4.0 NvME slot (which this chip is really designed for) Also recommend downloading the Samsung Magician app to install and optimize this drive.

> 24 hourTook about 10 minutes to install. Watched YouTube video and felt less intimidated. Highly recommend. Easy to format by following simple instructions. Poof! There it was, 2tb extra storage, 20 minutes later. Not a techy. Just a mom with Google. Switched PS5 games save to default here and was able to keep PS4 games defaulted to old external drive. Very straight forward and user friendly.
