Greater than one weekIt works perfectly and I would bypass the 1 TB and buy the 2 TB I know cause a little bit more but it’s worth every penny you don’t even have to worry about having extra space.

> 3 dayFor anyone on the fence about this drive. Dont be. Its extremely fast in the areas that count. It has very high IOPS and incredibly low latency which overall gives a very responsive OS feel.

> 3 dayFor DL data sets. MSI Z690-P board came with standoffs and screws for M.2 sockets, the 980 had none, just the SSD with heatsink. I plugged it in, secured it with the screw, booted the system (Win 11), initialized the SSD, added a volume, and was done. Winsat showed 3716 MB/s random read, 7143 MB/s sequential read, 2306 MB/s sequential write, about 10 times faster than my older Crucial SATA SSD. Im very satisfied. Heatsink made sense, based on previous experience with a Mac SSD; there are inexpensive 3rd party heat sinks, but I opted for the Samsung built-in one.

> 3 dayMy wife and I have been using two units of Samsung Galaxy Book Flex since 2020. Initially, they came with Intel SSD 660p, possibly due to cost-down measure. The problem, however, was that the SSDs became slower than the moment we purchased. Especially my wifes Galaxy was problemetic; it took 45 minutes to scan her SSD (approx. 32 GBs loaded in a 512-GB SSD) with her antivirus app this year, which was almost twice as long as the case last year. Thus, I decided to replace Intel SSD with Samsung SSD 980 Pro.
