This is a nice middle ground between the more expensive 990 pro and the slower 970. With twice the read/write speeds of the 970 and being half the cost of the 990 while only being about 90% of the speed is great value. Im going to be using this until PCIE 5 ssds come out and become cheaper.

Great drive, top notch, except the bad firmware debacle! If you bought the 2TB version, make sure to update your drives firmware before the drive destroys itself.

I put this drive into an external Thunderbolt case and the speed is over 5 times faster than my other USB 3.1 external drive.
