Samsung Memory MB-MC512GA 512 GB Evo Plus Micro SD Card with Adapter

I never expected this from Amazon, but first of all the package felt a bit weird - there is no usual anti-counterfeit measures on the packaging cardboard - just plain print (its my first Samsung SD card, so Im not sure if its usual). Then I loaded it onto my Surface Pro. The capacity looks alright (doesnt need formating). Then I enabled bitlocker and started copying files onto the drive. The writing speed was poor - it was mostly around 10 MB/sec (not even close to the 90 MB/sec claimed on the package). Then after an hour or two, 50~100 GB into the progress, the speed dropped to near zero (in KB/sec range), and the computer seemed to slow down dramatically (probably waiting for the drive to respond). I tried to close down the file manager and reboot the computer. When it comes back, I can no longer access the drive... Always prompted me to type in password for the bitlocker but then frozen/dead. I tried to re-format it regardless of the encryption, but I/O error came up and prevented the re-formatting. Tried other software, too, but with no success... It was just a nightmare after wasting a whole day on this crap. Sure this is from a third-party seller (with Amazon Prime), but I picked it based on the previous good reviews. Now I dont understand if this is a fake card or just my bad luck... Will never touch this seller or Samsung SD card again. I always had good luck with SanDisk but hope they will sell larger capacity soon (the maximum is 400 GB with SanDisk at this moment).

Bought these to upgrade for my hacked switch. Ran it through a ton of tests in fear of losing the fake SD card lottery. Luckily, the 3 that we had all came out legitimate and without issues (1 green, 2 reds). The green and red ones are essentially the same, so just buy whichever is cheaper. One is just branded by Amazon. All in all, its been a few months and no issues from anyone in terms of usage and transfer speed.

This card was purchased to capture Hi res Drone footage from DJI Phantom drone. It works perfectly with no delays in recording. Great product.

I bought the 512GB version. Works great so far in my LG V20 phone. Transferring the files from my laptop was really fast. much fster than my old sandisk ultra SDXC1. Came in packaging that appears to be authentic.
